Live Baiting (South Africa)

These s c u m s where filmed live baiting a street dog that had its mouth taped shut and were arrested and charged and are now facing sentencing for the act. Real dog men don't and won't do this. Live baiting a Bulldog against a cur dog does not teach a Bulldog anything, rather fight your dog into a dog that can also dish out and capable of fighting back, then your dog will learn something. Even better, fight your dog into a better dog that can out fight your dog, your dog will then learn something. This dog in the baiting video didn't learn anything from what these South Africans were doing. This is just not on in the sporting dog industry, if you are a live baiter then I think you should rather go out the game and find something else to occupy your time with, this type of people that do this are not welcome in the community. They are painting the image of the game dog community as the general public see us in a bad light.

Predictably, the cruel, evil, inhumane and deceptively named SPCA have got their hands on this video and are using this video to extort massive amounts of cash in the form of donations and for anti Pit Bull propaganda. Cash that is used to propagate their lavish lifestyles and expensive luxury cars, not to help animals.

No one even dreamed of baiting dogs until the nutjobs with these rescue organisations started putting out propaganda saying it's how you train a pit dog. Now, big surprise, idiots with too much time on their hands decide they want to fight their dogs and what have they been told repeatedly by the media they need to do? Find some street mongrel to tear apart so their dog will be ready for the box. The animal rescue's so called worst "nightmare" came true while in reality they have a never-ending source of money being thrown at them to address an issue they created and instead they are lining their wallets and rubbing their hands together

Well that video was a shi**y way to start my mornin'. Me personally, I would cull the 3 a**holes who were doing this bulls**t. The only cur dog I saw was the shi*bag dog who had a skin hold on the neck of the one who had it's mouth taped shut. It NEVER made a sound and got to its feet. People who do this s**t should have their hands taped together behind their back and used for f**kin' batting practice! ME FIRST and no tape or bat needed! If you have to roll your dog this way you're a fu**in' coward! The NSPCA (National Council of SPCA's) in South Africa which is a money making scam that has modeled itself after the HSUS in America and does not own or financially support even one animal shelter, failed to consult the SDO (Sporting Dog Organization) prior to using the evidence of this very rare and isolated incident for comment, before they rushed into abusing this evidence for raising vast amounts of money for their scam. The video has been used as a propaganda tool against the greater Pit Bull fraternity to stir up hatred and loathing against the members of the fraternity by generalizing that all people involved with Pit Bulls do this despicable act, an act which has been widely condemned by the greater majority of the Pit Bull community. This incident occurred two years ago and the NSPCA is still abusing it to raise cash and create a trial by media scenario prior to the defendants appearing in court. The SDO is certain that the majority of the fraternity would like to see the individuals responsible for this act be punished to the full extent of the law and in so doing discourage episodes like this from happening again.

This is some of the propoganda being distributed by the NSPCA. Please take note of how they generalize the act as being of common crime of frequent occurrence and practice among the Pit Bull community.

WILL THERE BE JUSTICE FOR DUCT-TAPED, CHAINED BAIT DOG?

Almost two years ago, in the early hours of 05 December 2013, 6 dogs were rescued and 8 people arrested after the National Council of SPCAs (NSPCA) swooped on alleged dog fighters in Atteridgeville, west of Pretoria. Now with the trial completed, animal lovers await to see what sentence will be handed down this week in the Atteridgeville Court on Wednesday 25 November.

Caring South Africans and animal lovers countrywide were shocked and horrified at the images taken from the video footage that showed the prolonged suffering of a terrified street dog being used to train another dog to fight. Her mouth was tied firmly shut with duct tape and she was dragged along by a chain rendering her defenceless and with no chance of escaping the powerful dog which was set upon her in a frenzied attack.

The video footage, which is in the possession of the NSPCA, is extremely disturbing, a sickening revelation of the heartless, unrelenting and barbaric cruelty inflicted upon a helpless dog. Inspectors were told at the time that this poor animal was used as bait in three "training” fights on one particular day and possibly as many as 6 times in a 3-day period. When she was so injured and weak that she was of no further use to the heartless dog fighters they let her final attacker maul her to death.

To us she is not just a nameless victim. To the NSPCA she is a symbol of the horrendous so-called training process and the lifetime of suffering of all dogs forced into the criminal world of dog fighting in whatever way.

The NSPCA hopes that the sentence passed down this week to these perpetrators of animal abuse pays tribute to this poor dog who was mercilessly used as a tool, brutally and ruthlessly attacked * repeatedly * until her death.

The National Council of SPCAs committed to bringing those involved to justice and now waits in hope that this final step holds a sentence that will serve to warn others of the dire consequences that could await youth that entertain themselves with animal abuse or blood sport.

That's not true. Ever heard of a cat mill? How do you think it got it's name? Sporting dogs weren't and aren't always owned by the cream of the crop citizens. Some of those guys saw no problem, I'm sure, baiting dogs with dogs, cats, or other animals. It might not be common practice, but you better believe it happened.

Putting a cat in cage to have it chased is a dam sight different than than taping a dogs muzzle and letting your dog practice on it. I have read a few mentions of well known dogmen using cats to make a dog scratch into and getting a supply of them from the animal pound back in the day. There has also been some mention of dogs been set on strays and not to use non bulldogs because they snap and it teaches the dog bad tactics. Have read about another well known guy matching a dog he found in the park. Plenty of mentions of keeping decent bulldogs just for roll purposes.

Yes sir. Some of the greats did it. I feel that was a part of gamedog evolution. Once they knew better, they did better. Roll dogs for instance. A roll dog isn't like a bait dog tho. A roll dog usually isn't bad, just not GOOD enough to hurt or kill a youngn. On some yards roll dogs were just as good as other ppls match dogs tho. I agree about watchin bait animals.

Somebody reported the video to you tube who thank the lord, have removed it from public view thus preventing the SPCA from further use of the material for the purpose of stirring up hatred, loathing and contempt towards our community and our dogs which seems to be their primary objective. The SPCA found this video to be of the most excellent marketing material for their perpetual anti Pit Bull campaign. It seems like vilifying our dogs and our community in the eyes of the public is a highly profitable business practice that keeps the money flowing into their pockets at the expense of our dogs and the safety and security of our community. They have made it clear over the years that the search for marketing material like this is an ongoing task which they pursue with enthusiasm due to the fact that it is proven that this sort of material keeps the money rolling in in vast quantities. They care only for this type of material for the purpose of marketing material for accruing money for their so called Non Profit Organization and not about the dogs at all, which has become blatantly obvious to most intelligent people.They continue to establish their insane ideology against our dogs as legitimate in the eyes of the general public by using isolated material like this in their marketing campaign. The SDO believes that these SPCA money making scams are a sinking ship and all similar organizations like this are going down due to the public becoming more aware of their modus operandi and how they are working animals over for nothing other than profit. This makes them very dangerous to all animals in this day and age as their superfluous efforts to bring in money become more ridiculous as time goes by.

 

So these idiots went to jail for what they did. The sentences for cruelty in South Africa are very leniant in comparrison to the US. Just like to say again if you do this s h i t the greater Pitbull community don't want you in the dogs.

Pretoria - Four men who used a stray dog as "bait" to train dogs for fighting were sentenced to a total of two years’ imprisonment, the NSPCA said on Monday.

The Atteridgeville Magistrate’s Court sentenced Khutso Kopanye, Reginald Khoza, Neo Dichabe, and Reabetswe Sikhala to between four to 10 months in jail without the option of a fine, the National Council of SPCAs said in a statement.

The stray was mauled to death almost two years ago.

Inspector Nadia Hansa said the organisation was happy with the sentences.


“We believe justice was served today.”

At the time, video footage showed the prolonged suffering of the terrified street dog. Duct tape was used to keep her mouth shut.

She was dragged along by a chain while another powerful dog was set on her. The dog was used as bait in three training fights on one day.

“When she was so injured and weak that she was of no further use to the callous dog fighters, they let her final attacker maul her to death.

“To the NSPCA she is a symbol of the horrendous so-called training process and the lifetime of suffering of all dogs forced into the criminal world of dog fighting in whatever way,” Hansa said.

Pure scum bags to the full extent of the word. The bait dog is taped tight and has a huge chain on it with two dirt bags pulling on the dog so it cant even have any defense. This teaches a dog nothing. The dog game was a gentlemen's sport at one time. Now its destroyed by scum that are in it for a quick easy buck and have zero respect for the dogs. Cat mills are to get a dog to run in circles for exercise it doesn't hurt the cat, might scare the shit out of him but he doesn't get hurt. Roll dogs should be a dog a good 5lbs heavier than the dog you are testing should be a great wrestler but not that hardmouthed that's how you test your dog. These guys are a joke and so is there mangy cur dog.
