Hello. After writing all this down, I apologize in advance for long/pic heavy post. My girlfriend and I are from the New England. I have periodically combed through this site, researching areas of interest, and finally decided to join. I hope I am able to absorb as much knowledge as I can, from those with experience. I also hope to be able to provide some kind of knowledge in return, when it comes to behavior/training, as this is what we do for work.

I have off and on been around game dogs, since I was 15 (early 90's), when everyone I knew had a jeep or colby dog. This is where my love started and has never stopped. My parents failed miserably by getting me a half gsd, half rotti at 15, when all I wanted was a jeep dog like my friends had. She ended up being an amazing house dog though, despite the let down of not being what I wanted.

In the past year, we have lost 3 of our dogs due to age (1 Dogo, 2 Boxers) and adopted out a foster pit, which we had for 3 years. Currently we have our other Dogo, and our Potato head Trooper, which is our half breed mutt or Potato head as I call him. The fathers side was from "name drop here", but I spare the name drop, because I only saw him, but never his ped. The Mother was (if you dig back far enough) has some sorrell, colby, etc, but nothing in the recent ped, which is primarily "Pulling" AmStaffs and more recent Razor edge (what I call his potato head half).

I hope people will take it easy on the poor guy, since the potato head half isn't his fault, and he has really been an amazing lug head at anything he does. That being said, With the training and sporting that we do, I am starting early in finding the dog that I want, which I do understand I am not going to find on the internet. I have worked with "working dog" lines for a long time, and frankly have zero interest in the direction they have taken most of those dogs.

As for what I will be looking for in about 4 years time, hence the starting early, is a true dog for sporting. Any current experience about lines that are that are straight game, but also not so hot that they are nippy and not handler compatible. Proven in health and working.

Here are is our current potato head troop, and after him is an old Colby dog my cousin owned that just passed a few years ago at 17 years of age. Will post her ped as soon as I find it, She was registered under Todis' Little Lady. If I can't I will take a pic of the ped and post it, as I have not been able to locate it online. She was a outcross test litter done by Fat Bill and Elvis, and in no way am I saying I knew them personally in the least. One of the best dogs I have even known! Sorry for the long intro, but I am more than happy to answer questions for anyone, along with our training facilities name. I am hoping to get to know the sporting people in time, as I have some ideas I am looking to pursue when it comes to sporting, so if there is anyone in the New England area (we are in New Hampshire) Please feel free to say Hi or ask questions.

Here is our Potato Head - 60lb working weight, 65lbs unconditioned:

In regards to what I'm looking for, well here goes. I would like experienced opinions on lines that are not HA, but that are turbo charged. I am not looking to do bite work or protection in the future, but will be more interested in strength/endurance sports. My main focus is on health, structure, handler friendly/people tolerant/friendly, and did I mention turbo charged? DA is of no concern because lets face it, it is what it is. It will be a family type dog to a point, meaning living in the house, being around people, etc. And when I mean "family type dog", it will not be a yard dog, but most certainly not be a child or fur baby or whatever they are being called today (I hope this doesn't sound dickish, just low tolerance for that crap). Have checked out 2 yards so far, fine dogs, but unfortunately was not what I was looking for. What I am not looking for is a scatter bred or heavily inbred/line bred dog. I understand the differences in breeding practices and am looking for a dog that is a product of someones hard work and pride that is willing to let a female go in the future. There are many opinions on breeding methods, but not something I care to debate. Some like heavily inbred, and I get it, just not for me. Many are satisfied with a pretty piece of paper with names, I will be satisfied with actual performance. Does not make me better in any way, just have specific goals in mind and would rather make that known from the beginning. Some are fine with kit cars, I prefer the true collectible. Vetting process friendly. if you want to shoot the shit for a year or two about twinkies, hot dogs and ballet, well I love twinkies, I don't eat meat the long way and only where my tutu when my girlfriend asks. I am currently in process of developing a local club idea geared toward conditioning and athleticism, and if all goes as planned can hopefully spread and become a new dog activity/sport. we are in beginning stages, but hopefully will be able to expand on this in the future.

I am very direct and to the point, which unfortunately can be mistaken as being rude or a know-it-all, but I am far from. I am far from an expert, but have a strong understanding and am just looking further my knowledge and get end up with an amazing dog.

am getting the history on the brindle. Lady was an amazing dog and was very much all business. I have the actual paper ped, but was trying to find it online and don't think it ever got there. Ped # 647700F-08. I think the ped is a 4 or 7 gen, it is at my cousins house. I did not even know he still had all that info and found pics of her much younger, and also an old crenshaw a friend had. Will try to get those up soon!

Actually which brindle older or young? Pebbles or Lady? wasn't even thinking until I remember posting no ped for Pebbles. Yeah I would have loved to know pebbles history for sure. Lady was reverse brindle, but started losing the brindle around 13.

I just wanted to post back about Lady's Ped info. they were not entered into the database, but have numbers for now, and I will be getting the ped next weekend and will post the pic. The top was as follows:

Lady's Sire: Raposo's Ozzy #80900E-46 - off of (Sire): Hanlo's hum-v#25100E-44 and (Dam): Rodriguez' Crazy Lady Keisha #80900E-44

Lady's Dam: Raposo's Be Be #14000e-75 - off of (Sire):Francis' Star #54200D-76 http://www.apbt.online-pedigrees.com/modules.php?name=Public&file=printPedigree&dog_id=68180 and (Dam): Beaudoin's Honey - Here is the only site I could find. If you click on her offspring (Santo's Jammer) it will pull up a partial ped, Lady's sibling. http://pedigree.gamedogs.cz/details.php?id=167314

I would love more info on anyone knowing about these dogs if possible. And again, will get a pic of the paper ped on here as soon as I get it.
