I just got one last month and love it. It's a real shoulder saver for those dogs that nail the end of their leash continuously.

How much "play" does it have in it? I mean if you live in the city and traffic/other dogs are nearby, what kind of extension does it have? Is it strong? I like to have my dogs pull for the exercise......do you lose that exercise all together? Thanks

It's really heavy duty and super thick, maybe pulls out about another foot. So it's a 4' leash that extends out to around 5'.

I honestly think my dog gets a better workout with the bungee leash over a static one and i've noticed an improvement in his overall tone since I've been using it.

I just walked him again and when he hits it hard he might go out 2' and he's a year and a half 50lb male. Just wanted to clarify my answer, but it has been great for me. It almost makes walking him fun.

Never tried it. Had one that was made for sled dogs. Our damn dog pulled so hard it lost any elasticity it may have had. Next time,i'll get a still water leash.

I love mine. I use it in the city but I don't let my hounds near other dogs. I've been using it for conditioning during roadwork and it's a tremendous help. Think of it as bow flex for your dog. I definitely recommend it. Good luck.

Works great for my ranging from 35 to 55 pounds but wouldn't have my dog in close quarters with it stretches lil farther when they're excited. Very good investment though.

I'm going to check it out I'm thinking 4me it will be another conditioning tool I also let them pull.I walk down this 18 mile wooded,,, stones and sand dust type bike path every now and then if another dog is way up the trail my dogs will constantly pull like a weight puller.Good post...!

LOL, yep some of the best workouts are when you are a couple hundred feet behind another dog!
