House dog vs outside?!

Discussion in 'Dog Discussion' started by JEEPandELI, Jun 3, 2015.

  1. Is there any there between an dog that live on chain and an house dog behavior wise and intelligence? Also does it have anything to do with being cold or hot? Like will a house dog take longer to turn on or that doesn't matters? I'm talking about gamebred Pitbulll

All relative to the particular dog in question. Almost like saying I plan to have a kid in a few years, can you tell me beforehand what they will so with their life. I personally start all of mine in the house and then move them to the chainspot somehwerw between 6-10 months. For me it gives us time to bond with and learn the dog. I haven't seen any reason to believe that it has any bearing on intelligence or how got or cold a dog is, except for house dogs being hotter in winter and colder in summer because of your thermostat

I built a brand new house 3 yrs ago , a fortress at that.I said I'd never let a dam dog in my new house and wound up having a litter of pups same dam time that I built my house.Out of a litter of 8 I had one dam male that wouldn't go in a dog house under and weather conditions, he would not go.I liked the dog a lot and he turned on at 7 months , so yea he wound up a house dog and no it didn't slow him down in any way.He does stay on the chain in the day time and comes in at night and if its going to rain that day or be really cold I leave him in for the day.Its kinda a pain sometimes because I have to keep up with the weather so if its going to be a fucked up weather day I wake up earlier and put him out so he can eat and use the bathroom and run some laps on his chain.Thanfully he is not a hard keeper and doesn't have any bad habbits.BUT you could say he is spoiled, but he will flat out handle his buisness.

It's like a Kid who gets drove everywhere he needs to go, is home schooled, eats dinner with the family and sleeps on those Foam Mattresses, compared to a kid who dont know if he has anything to eat for dinner, sleeps on the hardword floor if he can't find a couch to crash on. he walks every where and is outside running the city regardless of heat or frigid temps.. one builds a calm demeanor appearing to be very intelligent and calm.. The other is rowdy a little bit raccous some would say, seems idiotic at times or to many folks but that's all minor shit until it's time for them kids to strap up the gloves and do what they came to do...

I would say, a gamebred pup is not something that you appear you need in your life right now.

the only thing that changes between house dog & chain dog is the owner, he builds that intimacy with the animal and now feels he has to hide him/her from the same evaluaton that the chain dogs get bc he has bonded with this animal.. It's only 1 way to see if a dog is on 100% and that is to cut his ass loose.

  6. Don't tell me what I need you don't no me.i had one already. All I was doing was asking a simple question.

Wrong thread, i posted that comment on your other thread. Just because you had one before don't mean you need one, shit look at the question you are asking. If you need to ask that, clearly you don't need to own none. It's plenty other breeds that would suit you well.

I like a dog that is smart enough to play both roles, inside dog and outside. I prefer my dogs house trained but not spoiled to where they don't want to be out on the chain. They'd actually rather be outside but like to come in for a little bit from time to time. On another note, I do agree with R&R.

I've noticed that the body structure/muscle tone/coat on an inside dog is generally much different than an outside dog on a consistent basis. I've also noticed house dogs have a higher tendency of becoming territorial.

  10. All of my other questions are old I no the answers too All of them now. I just wanted to no cause I never had a dog on chain. I know about gamepits and yes it is the breed for me . They only dog I'll get.

I will say this ,you can't make them all house dogs ,some are just to high strung. If you wind up with this type they can cause a lot of destruction. You may be better off looking around and finding a older dog that's calm and laid back. You just never know what a pup will turn out like.Always some breeders around trying to get rid of a older dog for one reason or another.

I'm pretty certain you don't know a thing about gamepits lol

  13. What makes you say that? I'll let you think what you want doe. Ino what I no and learned from older dogman a lil bit and research . Sometimes I ask questions that I no answer to just to see what other say or think

you own words makes me say that. LOL you can try to fake the funk that you seeing what others would say lol. No dogman or educated man on gamepits says he never had one live on chain before. Just a year ago you had a bully and a pitbull mix, now just a measely 12 months later you're seasoned dogman. OK buddy

  15. I'm no dogman never called my self one probably will never be one either. I'm not faking anything I just no what ino. Only reason I had them dogs is because i didn't no where to find gamepits in my area. And I never had a back yard for a dog to live on chain .

  16. Reasons why I don't like posting on forums cause ppl think they no everything and no the person asking the question that y I just research shit and ask very little on these dogs cause ppl bitch too much about a fucking animal

  17. How u no I had a pit mix and a bully wut thread I posted that in?

there is kinda a difference a dog on chain becomes independent to a certain extent a house dig is like a kid who gets a treat every time he does a goodjob so he depends on u more ..a house dog spends more time with u than any of your chain dogs so it gets attached to u more than the others and it may become soft because ur spoiling it

That's probably because when you fuck up and end up on the front page of a news paper WE ALL get judged by it publicly.... No one is bitching, they are speaking the truth, you seem reluctant on taking the advise because it goes against what you want to hear.... On the real though, Woukdnt it just make more sense to wait until you have a place where the dog is allowed. All your going to do is end up getting a dog put down because you think you'll get away with it but it just takes one neighbor to narc and the dog will be the one to suffer.

When posting on forums you need to learn to take the good with the bad. Not everyone will agree with you and most of the comments on this thread you don't like are the more realistic answers to your question. CB laid it out already and R&R can sniff out a newb in 3 posts.. lol

For the love of god please stop calling them gamepits. They are only game when they have proved it to be so. Otherwise it's just a APBT. Your own terminology is what is giving your experience within this breed away... No one calls them that...
