I'd love to hear about some other products as well. I know that iodine is good for hair restoration.......not sure about on dogs though. Hope someone chimes in.

the key to any ointment is its application. I have used many things over the years, from iodine, tripple antibiotic, vitamin b ointment, petrolium jelly, blue magic(scalp contitioner. I have noticed that keeping the area clean, wiped down before each application helps also. I have even used vicks vapor rub on a couple ailments in the past. Hope you are able to get the result you are after.

One of the key elements to hair regrowth is how well the issue is treated that caused the hair loss.

Keeping areas clean and infection free is paramount to the skin being able to regrow hair. Layered scar tissue is very difficult to hide and just as hard to regrow hair.

Peroxide cleaning will lift a lot of the dirt and skin tissue and allow a clean heal. Once the clean heal has taken place I mix Nitrofurazone and DMSO to the texture of a thick oil based paint. Always use latex/rubber gloves and paint it on the area. I massage it "in" and leave a liberal amount over the area. This helps a lot with scarring and that makes hair regrowth a lot better. S

Thanks that's what I use. I would pour some DMSO into the Nitrofurazone and rub it on the area. Never made it thick as you do. I will try it your way.thanks again

Nu-Stock is good. You just have to cut it with olive oil so that it's like a lotion type substance. Straight out the bottle, it won't work.

I have always had great results using Castor Oil.

    Which brand do you use?

    Brand is called NOW
When getting Castor Oil you don't want the clear stuff. The castor the colour of honey is the best as it is pure and untouched. Of course this works best if its in an area your dog can't reach on himself.
