    Overrated
WCC Deacon=Produced plenty of good animals but was bred a lot. His daddy Bingo was a better producer imo
Tab= Sorry old fella. I fed some off of Tab and loved them but my god that dog was bred a ton! Might be a record.

Fairly recent I'd guess. He as a litter mate (Calddwell's Puma : ONLINE PEDIGREES :: [261431] :: CALDWELL'S PUMA) and she was bred to W.C.C.'s Dumptruck 2x in 2006. So I'm guessing "Charlie Boy" is still around. Could be he's like so many other well bred dogs that never got taken to the right gyps to be able to pass on the good stuff. I believe it is a rare (proponent) stud that can be bred to "just any gyp" and produce a high percentage of good dogs. I don't care how good they were I feel you still need that "nick" of correct bloodlines/genes to get good litters w/ high %.

Davenport's Spike, Kennedy's Booger Red, Maloney's Colorado. All were littermates and all were involved in quality production at the onset of the Tobe and Rose family of dogs. Burton's O'Brien, another member of that same family of dogs.

Trussell's Midget. Another slightly unsung. Orday's Pat and Rolandow. Irish Tom's Justice. E. Crenshaw's Reno. All known dogs. All dogs that are seen in many pedigrees, but to various degrees not touted as highly as they could have been.

Fulkerson's Slip, Giroux' Booger and Our Gal Sunday. DeCordova's Bat and Ribbon. Shivar's Leo. We could go on and on until there is a large, memorial wall of dogs that fit this category. And I personally think it's great to mention them. Good subject, Bru.

Burtons Hank was a underdog that outshined the compition in the box and producer...
The dog you love to hate or hate to love gets my attention...
Redbaby put some honest dogs out there that made and indelible imprint on many generations to come...
Interesting to me is the differnt styles that Redbabys two most famous offsring put out, Both the DirtyMary dogs and Tonka dogs are awesome...
Id put the old Louisianna Smith dog up there with his son Danny...
Passing the producing trait is what puts this family on top...

Rushin' Cracker comes to mind...produced one of the baddest bulldogs in GrCh Mongoose and many more good game dogs that continued to produce..she is in my mind the foundation of many good game bulldogs!

I had actually meant to include Cracker on my list but somehow left her out. She produced many other damned good dogs other than Mongoose as well. That trio of sisters actually all produced well. Good add, Outsider.

This is getting good. Some good research going on. A lot of relation between most of these dogs and it doesn't surprise me. If a was a greenhorn I would be taking notes.lol I wish some of the younger guys would chime in about some dogs from this millennium. Something I don't know much about.

Be hard to overrate Cotton's Bullet. His tree grew a lot of branches. BTW, I won't be listing any overrated dogs. I just don't talk negative about anyone else dogs. Just a sound, unwavering policy of mine.

I was speaking of ShortyCowboy. I hear u TDK. But to me over or underrating isn't talking good or bad about the actual dog as much. More of our/the frats perception of that dog. Imo opinion Jeep is overrated. Jeep is a great producer by fact. But was he better than some of the others around or was the perception of him greater. Popularity. Hype. We generate more of that not the dogs themselves. But still you can tell I've been sugarcoating when I overrate a dog as to not piss anyone off. And trust me. That is not something I am used to. But I'm getting better with age:) And most of the time I stick with dogs I have personal experience with.

I say he fits more on the underrated list compared to lines such as jeep, chinaman etc..but shorty is popular in some places

I thought about T-Bud too Saint. Not used as much but those that had some didn't complain about it as far as I know. I never saw it heavy though. Maybe In old Mexico. There are several old FB dogs I wish I could go back and try out more. He had some good ones thru the yrs didn't he?
