flea infestation

Yeah we will sort our the worms once we have the flea issue under control, this flea thing is affecting the whole area its f ucking headache. I am looking at different remedies and so far the salt seems to working best. However its hard to salt a whole damn farm however combined with dipping the dogs every 10days and salting the chain spots i hope we can get this under control. A good friend recommended Borax / Water solution which wont scorch the soil and something I will have a look at using but salting just seems easier.

I checked for the Bayer products mentioned and they are not available in my area or the termite killer however I will see what my local agrimart has avail this weekend.

On the Ivermectin, I have and do use this when I have a mange issue or a skin issue however never used it for fleas, when ever I have used it I have not seen any difference in fleas - not that the dogs have had many before this bullshit.

Lol at 270... But yes dawn and water will kill them but u better have a direct hit..I was told the lungs are on thier back and it actually suffocates them..I tried it and I sware it does work but a handful escaped and luckily I didn't get bit..but i did kill 95 percent of the nest..I think a flea maybe same as a wasp and it's lungs could be on it's back...I never researched this shit so I don't really know why it kills fleas so good but yes it will kill wasp.

To help:

Use a Eucalyptus based soap and add a good amount of neem oil.
Powder dogs with food grade diatomaceous Earth (try not and breath it).

Neem, diatomaceous Earth and garlic are all good for internal use (do not go overboard on the neem).

 

Thanks for all your suggestions. This has been my problem ever since I had dogs. There are just unavoidable times of flea infestation each year. I've done a few safe ways of getting rid of fleas but they were never fully successful.
