this summer i gave my was given a feamle pit,,that i didnt have room for,,so i gave her to my cousins boyfriend,,who has plenty of space for her,,,well the sack of shit starved her and just sent her to the pound,,she was a beuatiful dog,,,now i feel like shitt,,heres a pic of her locked up now,,,pitiful

 

Well, now you know what your cousin is made of, you don't know what you don't know. Do you have her back? or was that pic from the pound?

 

well you did what you thought was right at the time...sometimes a good owner with a small yard is better than a bad owner with twenty acres.

 

you tried to fix a problem and it didnt work for you. try to fix it again. if your doing all you can its all you can do.

You Dont Sound Like A Very Responsible Dog Owner. Not To Be Rude, But An Animal Depends On You, Like A Child. I Can Tell You That I Have A Friend Who Lives In A 1bedroom Apt. And She Has Two Pits. As Long As You Walk Them, Feed Them & Love Them- Damn!!!

 

I agree you should go get her and MAKE room for her till a good home can be found. She doesn't deserve to die.

This is a prime example....Not to say that you intended this to happen, but it has. This is one of the main reasons this breed should not be allowed to fall into the publics hands...period. Honestly, I hope the dog is put down ...not as a lesson to you either, just not allowed to suffer and chance the fate at another hand.

This breeds not for eveyone...Close the circles.

I agree...you can always make room for one that you were responsible for in the first place...even if it's only temporary. I hope she finds a good home! poor girl!

You posted your situation expecting feed back and you got it. If your choices are to leave her there or starve her then I am with Simms. I can't believe that you don't have an extra few bucks to feed this dog.

 

Easy folks,origanly this guy thought he was doing the right thing....didn't work out that way.This is what ya'll advocate isnt it???? I'm glad that this guy posted his story..... just a remider to those that place and peddle their dogs. Don't belittle this guy....I empathise with his story, and I'm sad about that dog.

What i don't understand is...what if something happens to the dog you have right now? if u can't afford to feed a dog for a few months until you find her a new good home...what if your dog now gets hurt or something...then what happens? I'm not trying to get on you...I know you tried to do the right thing by finding her what you thought was a good home...i just hope everything works out for her and you and your current dog! best of luck!

 

What you say has wisdom, but c'mon where there is a will there is a way. Instead of being on the internet talking game-dog.com (no offense Marty & Shon) how about searching for free rescues, calling friends for rides, borrowing money to get the pup out, asking for help where ever you can find it......if this person really has exhausted all avenues with all the GAME his Pit would have returned to him/her in kind, then yes....a merciful end we should all pray for, but if in his/her heart of hearts 100% was not given, then I am saddened even more than usual.....there is money for a computer and internet access, obviously. Again not trying to be mean but I'd give up my internet access for 20 bucks a month until I found the dog a home....but as I said before your heart really has to be in it or the dog is better off at Rainbow Ridge.
