In most cases pups can be taught to not bite by one way or another. But theres a low % of wrecklooses that ae untrainable. In this case, MANBITTER and MY KID should never go in the same place/sentence twice. Once your aware of a problem and dont act on it , it becomes your responsibility.Trade the pup back for another or a refund. Your kids, insurence provider and responsible APBT owners would apperciate it.
I can think of a handful of instances where pups should have or were culled for being a wreckloose.A son of TVKs MOON named MONKEYMAN killed all of his siblings by 6 wks. With no siblings left he attacked everything that moved,
dogs ,children and adults.Including his chain and house, had no teeth and eventually died at 7 monthes from a aray of stuff in his belly.Ha ate his house and the vet found teeth in his belly that didnt pass. The owner latter confessed that he should have culled MONKEYMAN and raised his normal siblings,PLUS his kids were terrified of dogs because of MONKEYMAN biting them.Another case is PEEWEE(brother to TGKs JUNIOR)a son of BANJO that was a born bitter also.
After some schooling and a good keep, PEEWEE was being washed in and tasted when we shook a mans face putting him in the hospital.PEEWEE won and was culled afterwards for his actions, way to late as the damage was done.
Another more told storey is that of ZEBO.He put D.ADAMS daughter in the hospital and shouldnt of had a chance to produce so poorly. At least they could breed to him as most manbitters wont breed naturally.
CAJUN your replies make wonder if your either really young or dumb?Either way well school you out if you can learn.
just listen "knowing nothing in LIFE but to be ligit, DONT QUOTE ME BOY i aint said shit", probably too young so here you go. NWA - Easy-E - Boyz in the Hood (LYRICS) - YouTube

you just need to tell him no and redirect him to a toy when he bites. If this doesn't help, when he gets mouthy ignore him and end play. Resume after a few minutes and again if he gets mouthy, end play. Sounds like he is just being a normal puppy, some stern and consistent training will help along with providing things that are OK to chew and bite on.

Anyone with common since should know to pull a puppy from its litter if he is that aggressive.I watch my litters very closely and if I need to pull one out early then that's what I do.It makes zeros since to allow one pup to kill off a entire litter. Now I understand that in some cases it happens while we had our backs and it was unexpected. But anytime you make a breeding you should be well prepared to seperate through observation. The pup I had that got my finger had to be pulled out earlier then I wanted.I can say the older he got the better he got about all situations.

Forgive me I was on my phone I meant it can happen when we have our backs turned and it was unexpected.

Pups at that age mostly play with reckless abandon. They don't MEAN to hurt you............and they sure as hell don't mean NOT to. They have no sense or rationale about it. They just play. No pup at that age should be judged as to ANYTHING as far as what they will be. Stern yet non physical reprimanding is the best way, as Treez said. And remember, once is not enough. It's ongoing as repetition is how they finally get things sunk into their heads.

The word man biter just opens up that can of worms about the breed we all love. you must understand that a pup is going to be just that! a pup and it is up to us as owners to train and teach them what behaviors are wanted and unwanted. bsl is heavy on parts of the country trying to get there way. hope you would not use the term man biter outside this site. NOT BAD DOGS JUST BAD OWNERS.

A puppy mouthing you is natural for him , but must be stopped , he has to learn what to bite and what not to bite , do like i do , give him a rough NO and direct him to a bone or toy to bite on .

Update: This dog was doing somewhat ok for a couple months.. Today he attacked my buddy went straight for the stomach, left a bite mark and ripped his shirt... While trying to help my friend the dog went off on me and got a hold of my hand bit hard enough to were it was feeling numb.. It was a mission putting him in the kennel. After about thirty minutes he managed to get out by breaking the kennel door.. While I was cuttin my cousins hair he came towards us and attacked once again.... He's still a pup about 43 pounds. What would you do if you where in my shoes..?

Give him a great last meal. If you give him to someone, he may attack a human, or be bred.
