On what basis are you so optimistic?

    ps.

I think that this challenge was addressed by King's owner, King is 1991 and Mayday 1990.

The grass is always greener.... It is sure easy to overlook what is down the street compared to across the country or across the ocean. Happens all the time. Personally? I think it is far too difficult to get RELIABLE information from "over there" to make any determination that those dogs are "better".

And, as many said, "better" is open to discussion. Is a fear-fighting wrecking ball of a dog who is too terrified to ever take bottom, but can damage his opponent quickly "best"? Not to me. But sure is for many city boys. So, there you go.

I still stand by this and I agree with many of the points made in this discussion.

Hey at some point you have to ask yourself if the best available to me isn't in my back yard, what the fuck are those dogs doing in my back yard!

Your competition will tell you what level of hounds you have. I will say this, have seen many dogs who became or are legends of today. Such amazing stories of how great they were. Some seen in person and I say that is not what was showed and many other accounts of eye witnesses who said he was good but the story had a quite a bit of condiments added on lol. Most urban legends come from folks who not in town, because when you go to the local folks they can tell you a whole lot about a hound.

  7. Good point, but I would say once exported over the next two or three generations they sort out what's what.
