That Tarheel blood isn't worth the feed anymore. Matt was getting his ass kicked left and right towards the end and the last of the stuff I seen will pull up faster than you can finish your beer.

Yes, that short winded / lack of deep gameness was pretty much admitted to in the following article and while they all seemed to have a lot of mouth and ability they needed something added to the "mix" to regain those missing qualities. Maybe this line could be kept tight and out crossed/battle crossed to produce the athletes ?

Some proven game blood that doesn't lack much on its own would be a good place to start Imo.

Well in that case just use that blood if its proven game and doesnt lack much. makes no sense in watering it down.

What ... nobody jumped in here w/ the Colby Dogs ... LOL !!! Seems they pop up on almost every other thread ! OK - no more pulling your leg - Colby owners. keystone, good point, there have been lots of attempts, by good dog men, at getting the Zebo/Vindicator lines to cross w/ something that builds deep game stayers. Maybe because they are such devastating biters that their deep gameness is not questioned.
A dog that can bite you down to the point that one cannot go on before the first 30 minuets is the winner and a deep game dog w/ all the wind in the world that cannot withstand the initial flurry and quickly gets severely injured is still the looser --- where is the happy medium?

seems to have a rat chevy start and a GS Vette wind, 0-100 back and forth seems to be natural pace as a 3mos runnin the yard uphill with my 9month olds just foolin around pups in the yard. Wel'll see how he works later, the other pups my carver heinzls are rough hard runners smart and light hearted with him as a younger pup but push him to the point I gotta correct. .. He gets em goin then holds em out already. Pisses em plum off. Gotta keep vigilant.

Foundation - either that pup's bday is wrong (BIRTHDATE: 2014-11-15) or I'm flashing back to the 70's again !!! I see a definite problem w/ that pup coming up soon. He's just not going to fit in w/ those Caver/Heinzl's . I think you are going to have to ship him over here to Georgia so I can give him some one-on-one attention ! And I'd be glad to give you breeding rights LOL !!!

I would too. But the question was what would one use to make the panther blood better.

I got his paperwork today. He was born the 16th not the 15th. He's a good one. Don't think he's anywhere near turned on yet, but can tell as a pup his natural strengths. He bites soft alot, I thought he got that marshmallow mouth the he showed me he can crush bout anything when he wants. When he turns on, IT'll be evident when he does. Dam and Sire both bonafide through and true so I don't know bout all that other mess. If Buck ran into Panther you'd see Ch Buck and Panther 2x LOL ...as keystone said, the first 40mins is crucial and if they could carry it longer ewwwweeeee. Then there would be no question. Thats where the X comes in. Your right there Olddog they're completely different dogs.

Well I keep this guy with me 24/7 and hes a good ball dog, and all that too. I'll use him for all around utility and hard catch work after a good hunt or two after he develops.
