Nice bitch in great shape! Just my opinion, she's not on the standard of the SBT, more in APTB...
45 cm for a bitch it's to much... BTW she looks well!

Nice looking dog, more like an apbt, looks well conditioned. People would say she is to big to be a sbt, but I think that is the way sbts are going in Europe, especially in the uk where I live. My Stafford is around 19 inches to his back and 22kg (during winter). You are breeding in the right direction for well proportioned healthy looking dogs.

Working dogs don't need a breed standard if it does the job then that's all that counts leave the standards for show people

Shes from both irish and kc lines. Just some kc in her background. She may be a big stafford, but she is agile and athletic and healthy with a lot of wind. She do have a pedigree, so she's not mix. She may not look like the typical stafford now a days, but she acts like one, bold and fearless as they should be. She have more of that than any stafford that are a "real" example of the standard seen to the exterior. The exterior isn't important to me, it's what the do and how they act.

Emilia I think your right,,,,your dog is better built,,taller,,more athletic,,more gamey then your AVERAGE short stocky KC dog. BUT,,,,I think irish staffy's are nothing but a mix of KC staffy,,EBT english bullterrier,,,pitbull....The KC dogs used were probably game tested as there were some very gamey hard hitting staffy's especially if an irishmen bred it,,,the EBT were probably decent working dogs with long legs,,,the pitbull was what ever they had available. Then they took from this mix and tried to breed a better dog in the 80's,,,90's and maybe 2000's...
You (not you the idea) could never sell me on the idea that irish staffy's have been hidden and bred for 200 years just like you could never sell me the same idea on the AMERICAN BULLDOGS in southern USA.I have my own idea how the AB started in the early 70's.
Even if I'm right it's not a bad thing to breed better dogs,,,,,it's just the idea about lieing how it's bred.
I don't care for irish staffy's ONLY because I can own a really well bred pitbull.I do like smaller say 20 to 33LB,,,thinner,,athletic bred KC dogs only because it's much harder to find a well bred pitbull that small.

Well, shes bred down from mostly kc dogs in the first three generations. Rest is whatever you want it to be. All have kc papers. My bitch (mother of this bitch on the pic) is imported from England and she is from kc lines. Anyway, I don't care what I have on leash in % of any type of stafford it may be as long as it makes me satisfied the way I want a dog. But I prefer this body type since I think the manage to have the ability to work more and so on.
