I love these hypothetical questions and IMO very opinionated BUT how can Kings CH Silver not even be mentioned? He beat 3 GR CH an 1 CH..His only loss was when he was picked up game also had a serious virus 2 weeks before and they decided to go through (bad choice) but his record stands alone on who he defeated..PLUS his offspring arent doing to bad at all...IMO I would put Zebo, General, Mayday, MachBuck, Homer (Mt Mans) Females...Queen of Hearts, Miss Rage, Tornado and the controversial Bad Rosemary!!

My pick for best of I guess the late eighties would be LEE's RENO.His parents were CHEROKEE CHIEF and the infamous
DIRTY MARY my canidate for best brood bitch of her era next to HONEYBUNCH.They follow ARTS MISSY and BLACK WIDOW from the previos eras.
Ive heard CHEROKEE CHIEFs sire (BUCK)perhaps and DIRTY MARYs grand dam REDBABYs dam GOLDIE? were questionable,If some one who knows whants to chime in ,Im all ears.So RENOs ped isnt perfect, But I love the cross and think MARYs sire HANK was one of the BEST and most misunderstood dogs in history.
HANKs two brothers JESSIE and SMITH were champs i believe.
His grandson RENOs had two brothers BOLT ACTION & MR.RODGERS that were also champs,totaling to 15 wins 2 loss
and a quit amongst the three brothers.
RENO was bred alot and produced alot of greats that also went on to produce.A aquintance of a friend bred Patricks Shabba to him and had such good results the breeding was repeted. CHAMPION ROLEX outran DIABLO a pure turtlebuster dog from K.G. who was rank, but came back out and loss another race to ROLEXs bro CHALLENGER .
DIABLO was supposed to be bred to another bitch from K.G.s FOOTE to the famous Jacobs ASSASIN, But do to DIABLOs performances, the ASSASIN/FOOTE bitch was bred to ROLEX instead.CANT BEAT'EM JOIN'EM.
Champion CASINO came from this breeding with HANK like tactics HE WAS A TRUE BETTING DOG hence his name.
As far as the RENO dog ,like HANK they both went on to produce many different families that still work well tight as well as loosened up a bit.The RENO SHABBA family is alive and kicking today.The RENO AGGIE family is a potent blend also.Ive seen so many different variations of the RENO dogs working for alot of different camps.
IF one word could describe the RENO /DIRTY MARY stuff ive seen it would be SMART.I enjoy thier human instincts and havnt found that quality so consistantly in one family...ANTHRObulldogOLOGY.

 

Good post, one correction it was 4 losses & 3 quits from Reno, Bolt & Mr Rogers.

 

Quiting is opptional,seizures due to owners ignorance is not.

 

3 quits on Reno alone, Bolt Action and Ch. Missy. so I count more then 4 if Mr. Rogers did too.
Why are they seizures when he loses but none when he is winning?
And Gr. Ch. Chief sire was Everett's Buck aka Hall's Blue Boy as Bobby writes about in his book which quit twice.
Dirty Mary wasn't close to her sister Angel Face, mother of Ch. Okie Dookie and Ch. Clayton bred by old J. Lacy from IN. Angel would bring it.

 

Bro it wasn't no seizures, that was made up story, he quit standing, never had a seizure in any of the 8 wins.. He was a badass and though his % weren't great as a producer he threw some dogs that were rough and I'm a Reno fan myself love the blood and the mouth from them but I can't lie he was a quitter. Just a badass quitter who would destroy most dogs even gave hell to the 2 that he quit against. It wasn't seizures it was lack of deep gameness and also probably weight drained because he campaign from 37-42
