I've thought about it but didn't think hay should be used as bedding but you're sure right, it'd be better than cedar chips as far as insulation. I'ma try it out, thanks naus!

Anything patrolium based will work but here is the issue with a&d vs vaseoline, what you pay for a small tube of a&d you could buy 2 large jars of vaseoline. With one dog that would do just fine but with more dogs + a 4 month harsh winter and applying every other day or every few days, youd could go broke taking care of feet alone. It will work just fine, just the cost is the difference.

Yes Devonte, it will accomplish the same goal. Keeping the feet from chapping and cracking. I can't stand the smell of A&D personally. I associate the smell of it with another tattoo...lol minus the tickle water.....:D

And humidity that will cause you to break out in a full sweat in half a second of being outside lol

I'd love to lol. In reality, everywhere has there own issues. We have cold and snow but thats pretty much my only challenge here. Down south you have a bunch on bugs and other animals that can kill you or your dogs, or make them sick ( we dont have anything to worry about here but fleas, ticks and skeeters. ). Also yous have to worry about hurricanes and tropical storms, flooding. Out west you have poisionious critters, earthquakes and tornados. Everyone has their own set of dangers no matter where you reside. I just really hate the cold, im not a big fella and this freeze makes me ache down to my bones. I can never get warm enough. Everything becomes harder to do because it is trecherous to drive, walk or simply be out in this type of weather has its own set of dangers.

Our summers are like that here, somewhat, i live in a lake so our humidity stays around 75- 85% in the summer. Heat and humity dont bother me at all, i dont want to have to work in it but I love being outside when its in the 90s here while everyone else is complaining its too hot and muggy lol.

Plus, when it isnt snowing here its raining 80% of the time in the spring and summer. This place is very well known as drerie erie. Lol

lol Somewhat would be the key word in this situation. Being from the windy city we're blessed to have a breeze coming in off lake michigan but it's real humid there in the summertime so I thought I knew about humidity. Until....I went to the Mississippi delta and LA. That humidity is in a total different world! Not saying you couldn't deal with it but it's sure different than humidity up north. When I go to LA or MS in the summer, I'm completely miserable because of the humidity there. Maybe you've visited and know what type of humid weather I'm talking about, idk. But if not lol you'll see what I'm saying if you ever come down that way. I'm sure there's places in the south that are as humid but those have been the worse that I've been to personally.

But I don't blame you for wanting to get out of that area though, anything in the south would be better IMO.

The only place I can think of that I have been to that has that kind of humidity your talking about is when I go to Florida (is that similar to La or MS? never been to either state). It is a different kind of humidity than up here. When I exit a building down there, it's like you just walked thru a wall of water and sucks the energy right out of you. Up here, your not going to feel it like that but it does suck the energy right out of you. That's why I said I want to look in Northern S.C or southern N.C. every time I go there in the summer it's perfect to me.

lol You know exactly what humidity to expect in those two states, yes, very similar to the central FL weather when I was there. Never been to NC/SC but my best friend was raised out that way half of his life and he said beautiful weather. I'm sure they have humidity but nothing like the 3 others we spoke of.

Loved North Carolina, great space at a great price. The weather was great. The land towards the eastern part had lots of sand and did not hold water for long
periods. We got Ice storms and them fucks made it impossible to drive straight lol. Great neighbors who looked out for you and minded there business.
