Kow-ta The Pit Bull born with no eyes

Discussion in 'Dog Discussion' started by myblindpit, Dec 27, 2013.

  1. My now 2 1/2 year old pit Kow-ta= (Native American word meaning "bumps into things") was one of ten siblings. Little did I know he would become one in a million to me. He was born with no eyes, everyone told me I should put him down ,that he would have no quality of life being completely blind. I chose to keep him knowing it would be a 24/7 responsibility doing so.It was by far one of the best decisions of my life Iam thankful everyday for him and the lessons he has taught me about compassion, patience, and determination. They say love is blind and now I'm a believer. As far as him having no quality of life he has no idea he is different he thinks everyone bumps into things and well ask anyone who knows us and they will tell you he has me wrapped around his little paw and isn't lacking a thing.:wagtail:

Great read, kudos to the owner for looking beyond a little thing like blindness and allowed that dog to reach its full potential regardless of its handicap. Thanks for sharing.... ;)

Are you going to take him to the shows. From the top pic you can see he has got good conformation, maybe he can become a show champ......you never know.

You must beeing sarcastic dont you?

BTW, blind dogs do much better than blind people though because of their great noses and ears. Even a blind dog can have a happy live.
