Bluebell you illiterate fud, if you want me to take you seriously then at least attempt to post a well written piece of text.

So I'm to blame for BSL because my dogs live indoors? If I had a doubt you were an imbecile prior to your latest posts then they're for sure, gone now. I'd never put a child or baby in the position where the dogs could even get to the kid. They ain't HA but some things just aren't worth risking especially with the prejudice. I don't have a fucking problem with dogs livin outside, if I lived somewhere else with decent land, no BSL and no neighbors in my pocket I would do the same. I have a problem with people thinking that folk who have their dogs living inside are fluffy dog creeps.

4 posts... Did I really get to you that much? There is nothing you can say that I don't have an answer to so please just give it up.

It didn't take me a while at all, I don't sit around waiting to pounce BB. Anyway, let's clear up your nonsense (again). I don't have kids, never said I had kids. I said I wouldn't put my dogs and a child in a situation where the dogs could harm the child. I'll say this once and once only, my dogs have never bitten, snapped or attempted a bite at any human being. I got my bitch when she was 2 and she was abused by the previous "owner". I have not trained this dog from a puppy and therefore I don't have a full understanding of how she is around kids. They have seen kids and love them and know not to jump etc but I would still rather be too cautious than too sorry. You sound like a prick BB. Asking do I not trust my dogs around kids. It's not about trust it's about being a responsible dog owner and any dog owner who "trusts" their dogs to be alone with a child is a moron.

As for the land remark. I have a garden with dog houses in it and therefore they could sleep outside but they don't want to. My point was, if I live in (for example) the U.S with better weather and had more land and therefore no neighbours living right beside me I would probably have them outside.

Yes that's one advantage of outdoor living dogs.

Your the only limp one here chumpy....you and your pet pack..who have the run off the house...ya worry about them getting into trouble with the neighbours attacking there pets/kids....if your worryed about that, is it cause your garden is un-fenced../?????thats why other owners worry..i could pick lots of crap of your points, but there would be no point...you carry on with your stressed out pack...and when they do attack may-be your laid back bitch can calm them all...down...lol...lol...i don't have to make you look like any-thing,ya done that your-self.....fluffy.......g-luck..chump....

By the way it's not about what the breed deserves,,,,all dog's deserve to be fed/shelterd/and gen;looked after...but should never be treated like a human being.....................

@ Champy: There's nothing wrong with having your dogs inside.

I don't think you've mentioned it so I could be wrong in presuming you have pitbulls? Well if you do, just be careful when you leave them together unsupervised. Dogs that may well get along can quite easily turn on each other when left alone.

I'd actually be more concerned about separating them when left unsupervised, than whether or not they live inside or outside

There are many reasons why most dogs live inside in the UK. Aside from people saying "the weather", not having enough outdoor space and dog thieves. Most are house dogs/pets and most people only have one. Some people have guard dogs to protect their property so those are inside too. Then you have those people who think having dogs live outside is cruel (lol) including the RSPCA. APBT are illegal in the UK, so most people keep theirs inside due to not wanting to have the dogs seized. Even those who have quite a few end up keeping them inside many times, either on indoor chain spots (lol) or crates (whick normally end up getting chewed to hell).

There are people who keep dogs outside too though; a neighbor of mine had horse stables which he kept guarded by a huge Caucasian Shepherd Dog that lived outside year round. Most terrier and lurcher men keep their dogs outside year round as well. Most breeders and people who have working dogs tend to keep their dogs outside. Kennels are far more common than chain spots are in the UK, because I the RSPCA take offense at that form of containment lol. A good setup involving bulldogs on chain spots in the UK would be away from prying in eyes in my opinion, such as in an outbuilding or a private compound.

Where I am from originally the vast majority of dogs are kept outside on chain spots. It is my favorite form of containment.

  17. Its not just the UK, people in the US tend to look down on keeping dogs outside and especially on chains.

Too many clowns that think their dog is human and treat it that way. Dogs should have a purpose/work. People buy dogs for looks which is the wrong reason and that is why the breeds are so messed up and cant do what they were originally bred for.

Very true. I think you respect a dog more when you treat it like a dog, instead of trying to turn it into something it can never be.

Dogs on chains attract a lot of attention in the UK.

for an easier life either build a smart looking kennel or have them inside.
