i have to ask does'nt your uncle get pissed at you for great miss spike blood crosses with Bolio through tg ? i;m sorry but i would be and my family would think i'm crazy if my uncle has the best miss spike blood crossed with scooter red bolio stuff and i bought mine from someone else . bulldog people just don;t do that . i've seen people get out of the dogs and then their son or grandson wants some . they don't do to good at first so they say your not screwing my name up and then get them some real dogs . which 1 is it you uncle or your great uncle that has the blood because you said 1 then the other so i don't understand ? i would give my right nut and take all the bitching and telling me what to do to get the best spike and miss spike blood that anyone could get . and just because your grandmothers dog is fat does'nt mean that dog does'nt have something in him . you never know unless you try to bred him and see what you get . you would'nt have to deal with your uncle and you could ask your grandmother to help you with your uncle she;'s the real boss lol .

 

More or less. My thoughts were taking that old blood to the Frisco stuff ,if the old stuff is tight the results from the cross could be outta this world! Add a whole new dimension to the dogs, even your grandmothers male and cull hard. I understand stubborn old dogman stuck in their ways. Like I said Goat, il dive off into some personal stuff so you understand better. me and him (Sunny) have came to blows before. When EJ passed he fucked me hard. By my inheritance...such as 6 figures worth of money...guns...countless collectible knives, Carson city $20 gold pieces and the list goes on. It's really bad blood man. I'm sore as hell about it. And it's my "Great Uncle" Sunny. I just type uncle to cut down on typing. He is not pissed because I have my own dogs and do not use his. Hell I would say its a safe bet that he doesn't want me using them. Not because I don't know dogs...but cuz he's a prick. Actually...some of them dogs were support to come to me after EJ passed. That's my "Great Grandfather". But I was about 17yrs old and had dogs off Art at that time. He took it upon his greedy ass self to go get the dogs. Well when I called and asked him about it..he told me that for the last 50yrs he was the one that put in the work so how do I have the right to them dogs. That I was not a partner or bought a single scrap of food for those dogs. He failed to remember all the walks I took them dogs on when his lazy ass wouldn't or the times I went out in the freezing ass cold to give warm food and bust the water buckets up that was frozen solid. Baker....that's my "Grandfather". He stayed out of the turmoil. My Father Jeff, he does to..he never even was into dogs. Hell..he wasn't into being a father either. EJ pretty much raised me. If it wasn't for him I wouldn't have ever even seen my pops as a boy. Pat...my Grandmother is old...and when her mother passed (Margie) he robbed her of a house she was support to get...the house he lives in now down in Florida. He said he was the one taking care of Margie and spent all the money for home health care and nursing homes so that house should cover his loss. My grandmother has money anyway so she let it go but they don't really talk much anymore. To get Sunny to do anything is like pulling teeth. I have went to Sunnys a few times in the past few years...trying to calm the storm. But I've never asked for a pup or offered to buy one. Honestly..he does have the best old stick a man could have. But my Chinaman dogs are pretty damn good to. And what they lack I can fix just like they have made improvements with their stick over the years. But Rage, you are right...those would be some bad ass pup. I thought about my grandmothers couch potato but he's up there in age and health is bad so I'm not sure if it would take. He has seizures real bad every since he was a pup. That's how she required him. He's on lots of meds for it. I'm not sure if that's something I want to potentially bring into my program. I been trying to locate a few other old timers I know that sunny has sold to or bred with and squire some blood that way. But that would piss Sunny off I know. But at this point I don't give a rats ass. For right now I'm content with what I got. Try and forge my own name. I never really wanted to ride a coat tail anyway. Sunny has seen a couple of my Studs...he was impressed. So I guess that means I'm onto something. Time will tell.

That's what I just explained in the big long post above buddy. If it was that easy I would trust me. I just don't want to ask him for shit...hell half his dogs really belonged to me...or atleast should be mine. Just chaps my ass man. For years it has. I'm sure if I licked my wounds he would toss me a pup but he would get way to much satisfaction out if that. And the rest of my family would be pissed that I did. The storm may blow over oneday...but...when he passes..not that I'm that evil and hope he does or anything. I'm not like that. But all those hounds will be mine oneday anyway. I'm the next in line because my pops don't want them.

Yea I've picked his brain...I've picked Bakers brain...and EJs to. That's why I know what I do. Plus I remember a lot of random shit and conversations as a kid hearing them talk with folks and with eachother. I know il get those dogs anyway someday so it's hard to just grin and bare the raping right now ya know? Lol I tolerate him as much as I do cuz he's family and to keep peace. And I still stop by there when I'm in Florida (to check on my dogs) :-p we still talk dogs...that's all we got in common and the only time we ain't arguing lol

 

i got a old timer I can talk to he dont live far from me and had straightened me out more than once lol.He not famous either but he is knowlegable.

 

Hey man that's cool. Shit the only one famous out of my family is Baker...hell that's only in the game dog world...so I wouldn't call him famous lol. I'd say respected at his craft lol. Baker wouldn't be as well known as he is if it wasn't for boomerang. I mean yea they produced other dogs...great ones..ran with the best and broke bread with the best breeders. But I'd say boomer is more famous than he is lol.

Yea I know he was, i was just using Boomer as a example. There was a lot of good dogs come of the yard. He thought highly of Cowboy. I'd say him and Boomer was in the top 3 of his favorites. Atleast stud wise. He had a couple bitches he really liked to. I remember feeding those dogs of Cowboy, that where my love of the black dog started. I just thought they looked cooler than Boomers pups back then lol. Jet black and shiny! You could see ever muscle in their body.

 

yes midnight cowboy was a great dog to a produce a line also and chivo and piggy and so many other . your uncle may get made at you for getting them . the seizure thing you want have trouble with that . i had 1 dog out of a male i bred many time and never did i see but the 1 dog with seizures . baker should have told you that . you missing some good blood by not trying .

 

Het Tenn i dont know if your Uncle sells to the public or breeds outside his yard ,but i would love to get a gyp from him or breed one of me Bolio x Eli gyps to a heavy Miss Spike type male. Man, as far as who produced better...They both were very good. Threw Good % to. Cowboys off spring has a lot of wins. I think there's more wins than there is off spring. So his % is pretty good. Both are ROM but Cowboy has produced 3 GR CH's... And 3 or 4 Ch's. And Boomer has 7 or 8 Ch's under his belt. I think Cowboy produced some good ones, Happy Jack, Reddick and so on. So on paper and statistically Cowboy takes the cake. Higher % and 3 Gr Ch gives him the win. Boomer was better at his craft though...he was a beast. And I also think Boomer was a better looking hound even though I'm partial to black dogs...and he had 3 best in show. Both were bred to the same bitches for the most part...Honey Bunch, Missy, Piggy. Cowboy was bred to Hands Candy and Boomer wasn't. So it's a pretty fair assessment. As far as my Uncle and general public goes, not so much. He has a litter every year or two at most. He runs in a circle of old timers and that's usually where they stay. That's why you don't see anyone with his dogs now days. He's still hand writing peds and shit...stuck in the old school ways. I know he's still got some hounds down Cowboy and Piggy. They thought highly of Piggy.
