its really not i mean i dont think papers make the dog but it still would be nice to have some sort of recorde of my dogs past and accomplishments i think it would be great if me and my dog could do some thing like wieght pulling and help him achieve some ssort of title plus it sound conceded but it would be nice to say that my dog did this and accomplished that is u no what i mean

  5. yeah i get what u mean... dont take my word for it but i dont kno, u probably can still weight pull evn if the dog doesnt have papers... i remember when diegoh was a pup i knew his parents were registered but he wasnt but i wanted to get him registered... i looked into it and u can register dogs so they can b in events but u have to spay/neuter them... dont kno if that still goes u may want to check up on that...

If you want to get into weight pulling, the United Kennel Club has a Limited Privilege program that allows unregistered dogs to compete in all of the events except conformation showing. UKC requires unregistered dogs to be spayed/neutered to get a Limited Privilege registration. http://www.ukcdogs.com/

There's also the International Weight Pull Association, which allows any dog to compete. Some regions aren't active though, so you'll have to check the site.

Here's a good weight pull page to read, as well.

I'm not competing at the moment, but feel free to PM me with any questions. Have fun with that pup of yours.

    rocksteady I'll drink to that..

All that really matters as far as acomplishments for a dog is that his owner believes enough in his greatness to just love him the way he is regardless... What better gift between dog and owner but that of trust, loyality and unyeilding, undying love....

Seems like you've got a good head on your shoulders "thedude" I like that you seem to have an open mind and also seem to look into things for yourself rather then take peoples words for it. Stick around, the site will do you good. And BTW-WELCOME!

Just remember that no matter how much you socialize your dog and what-not, never let it off-leash in public and never leave it unattended with another dog. The golden rule is "Never trust a pitbull not to fight!"
