best tie out collar

Discussion in 'Dog Discussion' started by InFa-[BLUE]-BeAm, Feb 24, 2013.

  1. i got my dog on a tie out right now with 2 collars, a wide one and a thin one, both nylon. the nylon is sort of collapsing on itself where its getting pinched from having 2 collars and its causing a rash on his neck. i think if i just had 1 collar it wouldnt pinch but anyways im looking at either a nylon or leather from stillwater, or possibly a nylon one from this other site cause its padded and reflective. Basically what do you guys think is better leather or nylon?

Bulldog Supply Company has the best tie out collars. Get the padded collars and it will last longer than your dog.

Another vote for Stillwater. I have several collars 5-7 years old that are holding up great.

    I like stillwater to...solid collars.

  6. the still water collars look nice. I couldnt make up my mind between leather vs nylon. I ended up ordering the padded nylon from bulldog supply

Leather collars for chain set ups are asking for an accident.

I didn't like how you can't combine(add to cart) your order from stillwater. Really like that padded collar from bulldog. Non leather is best. I am gonna try bulldog next order.

Why have a website then? I thought that's what the web is for, to make things simpler. I also, don't wanna pay to talk to him, to place my order. I like the ease of placing my order on the comp and keep moving.

just email him the list of items you want and he will email you a invoice back with everything on it.

Why have a website then, lol I'd guess to let people know you provide a service and a product. It has a place on the left side of the page, under Navigation,15th one down, where it says "Ordering Multiple Items" it says to call or email him and he can quote you a price and probably save on shipping. I personally don't care where you get your collars from, but I've always been happy with Stillwater's service. I don't see where his website is hard to figure out,lol To me if calling or emailing a guy is to hard,I just don't want a collar bad enough.

I used my phone to order, so the site was different than you described. Thx for the help though, cause now I know.

  18. Hmm....I guess personalized service is a negative thing these days ??? WTF. I like Stillwater's 2" Seatbelt-webbing collars with the double keepers and velcro ends. I've had a couple of those things in service since about 2005, I think....still look and function great. I wash them in my washing machine everyso often with shop towels and dog bathing towels.

An eye to see with a finger or two to type with along with a functioning brain is all you need to place an order on the stillwater site.....

  20. thats what i was looking for. glad i went nylon. looking to make all components from dog to post fail proof as possible.
