gameness and aggression should not be confused with one another. They are two completely different traits. You do get some aggressive dogs that are also game and some aggressive dogs that are not game at all and then you can have the most placid dog temperamentally wise that will show a very deep level of gameness when getting on down deep into the bottom end.

Most dogs ive seen tend to only display signs of aggression as young dogs, once they've been hit, they rarely show it again, once that happens they usually do not show the barking, growling, showing of teeth or any other displays of aggression, they just want to silently come over and dismantle the threat......lol

Colby's Pincher roamed the streets and never gave a second look at another animal, told to me by Louis Colby. I'm sure there are others such as Virgil, DA & Gameness are two completely different things and don't always go hand and hand.

Quite a few dogs were able to be around other hounds, Two Eyes I believe would walk the yard without bothering anybody. GrCh Virgil and Ch Raptor would sleep together in the same crate. Matter of fact after her last, ask anybody who knows G, i dont think it was even a month later i visited him to congrat him and there they were lying in the crate sleep together. GrCh Amboss was calm so was GrC Andy Capp, and Crash who was a 2xw i think 1xgl was a house dog. GrCh Awesome Beast. Even the legends Zebo & Machobuck would play with puppies. If you guys speak with Atown, tell him to tell you the story about the Poodle from next door. Snooty also could be around other hounds so could Ch Elvis.. Its not always genetics sometimes it's nature vs nuture. How they are raised can alter a lot. Most dogs that are considered DA or even HA are mislabled. Most are just territorial whether its the chain or pen or yard. Some are predators where they will hunt anything that moves.

the great Ferguson's Centipede was a cool, calm collected house dog around other pets.

Nothing to agree or disagree about, when I say most dogs I've seen I'm refering to my own dogs and what I have personally observerd with my own eyes with my own dogs. Other peoples expierence may differ from mine but for my own dogs, the only ones that do all that bluff shit is the ones that aint had a hog tusk it. Once they come out the woods for the first time they rarely ever waste their energy again on all those threatening displays of k9 intimidation.... their just coming....

Great post I agree none of my dogs show the typical behaviors that most animal behavior specialists would consider Dog aggression because outwardly they are very confident dogs they do not bluff or put on a good show. The times I have witnessed an accidental dog fight amongst bulldogs their was no threatening type behavior or a pre show they just fought there were no warning signs in fact they always looked pretty damn happy before they fought lol
