This is actually one of my long term goals, well.. not so much a yard but a big piece of land with a few bulldogs. So, I'm curious to hear about your ideas and reasoning behind it.

Idaho, Montana....but like Lee D said snow is a bitch. Fuck the cold weather too.
Keep it south La, Tx Fl, Nm, Nv, Az.

  6. Id stay in NC. Id prolly go up in the mountains more if I could though.

Snow and cold weather does suck, nothing as fun as having to water constantly because it froze solid :-( Stay south but as isolated as possible. One place probably isn't a lot different from the rest as long as the weather is good and the neighbors are few.

You can get around the neighbors part as long as you have nice size lot. I prefer the warmer climate myself and it's much cheaper down south. Not much vegetation down there but I guess it's a trade off.

It depends where in the south u are. Never get 100 here in the sunshine state, 92-94 max then in the winter you might have a handfull of nights that get in the 30's if that.
in the SW, like NV, 100 feels great! and the 80 degree nights are nice too, but it gets too cold for me in the winter for me there.

If I was going to start a large yard I'd look outside the states, Mexico or south america. Somewhere where the laws are non existent or not really enforced due to the police being busy with more important things. A small yard, I'd go south too, deep in the swamps somewhere. Doing it up north sucks ass, too many tree huggers and the winters are a real pain. The perfect set up to me is one where you can have your hounds on the back side of your property somewheres in the woods where people can come to your house or drive by and not even know you have dogs. I was at a yard just like the one you're describing down in N.C. That yard was mean as hell!!!! Nothing but dogs deep behind the tree line. Really nice set up.

That's exactly how mine is,if you pull up in my drive all you see is some yard mutts,no bulldogs. They stay in the woods, out of sight. That way only the people I want to see them, see them.
