Over the years what do you guys think was overall more successful(had more winners, champs, ect. documented in any magazines) a single dogman or a combine(im calling this any thing with more than one person)? Just curious about this.

Me, Myself and I plus Nig but he is erking LOL.

Partnership means one has invested his right into being part owner of anything yawl agreed upon.

Combines are NOT necessarly partners. They might be on the same team as you but they are individually owned by each person.

3 keep secret if 2 ain't around. i've partnered up on investments & we'd work out details but that's about it. we have frinds with the same focus but everyone as individual.

We would have been in trouble without "partners" during the great fire of 2012.

I found that making partners in dogs is like making breedings. You do all your homework and make DAMN! sure your ready for the test.

i would say the combine, based on the fact more dogs give more chances...it is a numbers deal....odds are three people can own and take care of more dogs than one....the combine idea gives all the benefits of a partnerships without the loss of individuality....there is never the chance for one guy to do all the work and spend all the money and the 'partner' is along for the ride....

Got a small circle of friends, in case I need to place a few pups. Lol partner thing doesn't really work for me because they can just be a friend of mine with dogs and I can ask their opinion. If we were partners I'd have to hear their opinion on everything and I'm not really trying to hear that lol

I believe in friends, associates and confidantes. All of the ilk to be very much trusted. Never partners. Friends are partners when partnering is needed for any one endeavor. But partnering has a business connotation, and that's where friendships rise above such. Friends support one another, wish one another well in all efforts, help each other succeed and do so without the rubble of business being underfoot.

To me, I don't think any number of even very adept partners could replace just one true friend.

Great question! Throughout history partnership rarely works.
It is nice to have one guy that really knows dogs and one that backs financially. Usually works well until the money man decides he has it all figured out...

Another excellent post TDK, one in the hands always better than two in the bush...

I would rather be solo. All of the greats who were stolen from different yards, in my opinion, weren't stolen by some RANDOM, angry, envious dogmen. Had to be inside jobs. Plus I don't trust too many people in or outside of the game so I'll stick to myself and the person I got my first hunting dog from
