that's exactly what it is genealogy. you not a product of your environment. your a product of genetics plan & simple. there's a killing gene, lying gene,raping gene, & even a slapping your mother gene & i doubt there's a moral gene only because it's subjective. damn neer all ya'll on this thread is a hypnotics. because by your way of thinking it's ok for me as a parent to " whoop" my kid. but if i made a thread about my o'l lady talking back & slapping me & then me " whoop'n" her. ya'll would go nuts. but whoop a kid & get nominated mom of the year? we have wellfair program but no eugenics program WTF

kids need to be repremanded, i have no problem with that, but its the severity of the punishment at the right time, and later when things calm down, explaining to a kid why they were punished and why their actions were inacceptable

we can do our best as parents, that doesn't guarantee they will turn out right, but it does give them the best chance to turn out right

as a kid if I stepped out of line I got at the very least a kick in the ass,
in my town it was acceptable for other adults to put a boot in any kids ass that stepped out of line, that way you didn't get away with much even when your parents were not around

problem now is parents are too soft or are not capable of raising kids

 

Ehh, that situation would be a tad different.
There's a difference between smacking your kid for disrespecting you (kids should respect figures of authority, and parents are figures of authority.. until they're 18 at least) and smacking your wife for whatever reason. A man and his wife are equal (or, should be in a normal, healthy, balanced relationship) so there is no need to smack your wife to control her or for disrespecting you, because you're both equal
Now, I in no way condone child abuse or domestic violence, but I see nothing wrong with slapping your kid once or spanking your kid for being a little shit.
On the other hand, I do not understand the logic behind "men shouldn't hit women" (you know, like one slap after she hits you), women aren't frail and weak, they can be as abusive, controlling and degrading as any abusive male in a relationship... however, I don't think couples should be slapping each other at all lmao

Yes!If I or any of my siblings tryed that as soon as that hand was raised my mom would have broke it plain an simple.My cus told my uncle one day that he would kick his ass my uncle asked with which leg as he said which one his dad broke it,he was 17 at the time,never got out of line again what ever my uncle an aunt asked him to do he did with out a word.
