Ok....I follow ya...Clay was out of Iron Tony & Red Ruby...stacked with RD. The RD hounds refuse to be dominated....power & brains.

I owned a grandson to the "Cassius Clay" dog. "Cassius Clay" X "Lightning Bug" on his bottom side. He was also a grandson on his top side to Gibson's "Lunatic" who is off of "Iron Mickey" who is off of the "Cassius Clay" dog. He was purchased from D.Gibson's "Southern Pride Kennels". He was a freakishly strong 40-42lb dog. I bred him to a granddaughter of Gr. Ch. Banjo that I owned and it produced a couple of superb males who could do it all. I thought I was being innovative at the time. "Red Devil/Carver cross; I might be the first". Till I checked into some of Iron Mike's old peds and realized he'd already done it long before me and his were successful too. ;)

There was only Mickey and Minnie in Cassius Clay and Red Dot's litter.
Mickey was the father of Gibson's Wise Duke who was bred back to his mother to produce All Around Ch. Dutchess.
Duke's mother was off Cassius Clay brother Red Devil.

Actually Dan was a partner on Mickey.
To bad Mickey died young from a snake bite at Dan's or he would have produced a lot good dogs for him.
When Dan did some of those breeding he felt they very savage dogs.

No you missed the reference, Roy was owned by Pinky & the Brain.
I taught him how to condition the dog.
I helped Pinky get started in dogs. I still talk to him from time to time.
    His health is better.
Bandit was the other hunting with Clay.

I feel ya....I bet that produced some good ones, as you can see in a few earlier post...I tried something similar too lol...at least we were tryin' to duplicate greatness. Do you still have anything down from that cross?

Regretfully no. I ended up sellin. and they ended up winnin in under 30 min for some guy I didn't even know. Hard times makes you do hard things. One looked identical to your brindle male. I called him Lynx. and he was a superb animal. First time lookin at em they looked like they had done it all and seen it all already. real super freaks.

Most of the pups off Chinaman was kept around the Chicagoland area.
According to Bodzianowski those litters work out pretty good from what he saw.
He first came into contact with those dogs when people brought them over to his place and he cropped their ears.

The pedigree that was posted was place on there by B & K Kennels of the late Brian Goodson aka 2 Shoes of OH.
The top side was a dog Ed owned from A.D. "Dave" Castelli breeding.
Maggie was also bred to Ch. Iron Bear where some of the pups were sent to Larry in AZ. who owned Russ 2xw litter mate to Maggie.
So was her daughter Suzy that Goodson owned.

The thing about a cross is, you don't know if that dog can hunt until you hunt him.
i.e. of crosses is what is on the website today of titled dogs from out crosses and line breeding.
