Turned on you how? If it growled, teach it manners, if it bit you put it down before it hurts you or someone else. Btw dangerzone doesn't necessarily equal gamebred. For me it's not even remotely the same thing.

I'm reading this as you feared a stressed dog.

Exercise that dog twice a day and make it fun for both of you.

    Don't discipline with negative energy.

I would socialize her with humans and make that fun for her. Take baby steps when socializing. You can socialize with other dogs but not within reach. Keep the dogs at heel and hike them.
Always keep distance and give the dogs space from each other. Good Luck

Saw you ended up with DZ and wanted "gamebred", put it down and get the dog you really wanted.

Describe what happened, how were you disciplining and what exactly did the dog do? How old is the dog?

Sadly, most breeders dont care about human aggression when breeding dogs these days. Its all about the money.

I had a Dangerzone dog a few years ago. I got him as an older dog, at 8 years old. He was being retired as a protection dog. He was about 105 lbs. Great dog but he did not take hard corrections.

Can you give more detail about what happened? What did the dog do and how did you respond?

Thank you all for your reply's. ok so lets start from the begining she is about 1 1/2 yrs old and 65lbs, she has been crate trained and stayed in the kennel all day while we were at work, our house was broken in to about two week's ago, so we decided to leave her out of the kennel to protect the house, she was chewing up the couch and i was discplining her wehn i got home, this went on for a week one night we came home and she was on the couch and i told her to get off and she ran from me and i basically backed her into a corner and was discplining her and she snarled, growled and barked at me, is this human aggression (yes or no) and if yes then what steps do we need to take cause we have three kid's and we are concerned at this point, but let me say that she has always listened to commands, and she has always been very docile with us and the kids although seems to be dog aggressive.

First, you're worried about someone breaking into your house you should get an alarm. We have ADT and they are awesome.

Sounds like you and your girl need to have a " Come to Jesus". I would have taken care of that growling issue as soon as it happened though.

Some dogs are not good in the house. My female was 5 years old before she was allowed to be in the house unsupervised. Maybe you should just keep her crated when you are not home or maybe you should ease her into being left out, starting an hour or so at a time. And easing up to all day.

I'd probably give the dog a second chance but just because its a dog don't mean it doesn't have boundaries....that dog trust you as much as you trust it, and that doesn't sound like much... that dog need socializing and family bonding without hitting it........that dog is still learning take it easy on the "discipline"

OK, so you told the dog to get off the couch which it did and then you proceeded to back it into a corner to reprimand it for chewing on the couch which it did earlier in the day when you werent home? And you expect the dog to understand that? It did what you wanted and you reprimanded it. This is purely your fault. If you see the dog is chewing on the couch then back in the crate it goes until you can train it not to chew on the couch when you are home. Leaving the dog alone to do damage and expecting to beat it up when you return is ridiculous. No dog is going to learn that way and some wont stand for that kind of treatment for very long. How much exercise does this dog get? If she is always in a crate then she is most likely bored and releasing frustration by chewing on the couch. Learn how to train your dog before blaming the dog.

First of all you can't punish a dog for something it did while you were gone you have to reprimand them in the act or they have no idea why they are getting reprimanded. Bulldog type breeds are destructive by nature especially when they are not being exercised regularly they will destroy shit not the dogs fault that would be the owners. Did you hit the dog? How were you discipling her? Human aggression is when a dog bites a human unprovoked. I have no idea what you were doing to this dog but it sounds like you backed it into a corner to beat the hell out of it. You need to respect the fact that these are animals there are ways to properly discipline them without using physical force. The dog doesn't sound HA to me it sounds like a scared dog who is getting hit and doesn't know what the fuck it did or why you are hitting on it. I have never had one of mine growl or snarl at me but they have excellent temperaments and are not fearful dogs by nature. I can't speak on the temperament of your dog and the dogs behind it because I can't see the dog in person to watch how it behaves in these situations. But what I can say is with dogs they have to be corrected in the act not 3 hours after or they have no clue what they did. How you correct them is also important if the dog has been crated most of it's life and has never been left alone it may have separation anxiety and chews up things to release the stress and frustration of being left alone or just being crated for extended periods of time. I think you need to look at yourself and maybe if you can't give this dog the proper training and time it needs you should look at rehoming the dog with someone who can.

@happ, I hope you weren't beating him and creating a man eater. Now when he's in a high stress situation the teeth will come out and he will react. My dogs run when I make a look at them and it's not from beating. You might stiil have to put him down seeing that you made him that way, what's done can't be undone. When he's gone don't get another one, get a punching bag, easy to clean up, don't eat or shit and know how to take a beating and stay quiet. Buts that's only if your a fly off the handle dog beating kind of guy.
