And thats about the best way to put it, I dont want to knock the man, he is very Book smart, He made alot of money on the dogs and any one with eyes can plainly see that is what itis all about to him. I lived just a few hrs from him and We tried a few of his dogs that we got a good deal on. Those dogs were hyped up also, They were no more than good looking paper back bulldogs. but more power to him, But to go on and put up stuff that is not true well that is just like hanging paper, not that I care about titles but for a man that admits he dont and has not matched But One dog he sure has a lot of winners. Now Im not sure if some one else put them up , I have had people put titles on my dogs I didnt want any one to know about maybee that is what happened but I dont think so. I just dont get people like that, on one hand he says in the book about only crooks and thugs are left in the sport. Then you see how all the hype brought about his dogs were put up by him,
He as about as good a premoter for dogs as Victor. lol, I think jack is a first class Book wrighter and he is full of info for the dog man. but a dog breeder and handler he is 11 ft tall and tank proof in his own eyes. lol

I cant say much about vice grip, never met him. but I grew up with ricky that owned ch. darth vader a son of poncho, ricky almost ruined him at a year old. when he finally let him grow up the dog was one of the best catchweight dogs to be had. he really did win all those races that they said.

 

the list of champions and grand champions was established. it was called the sdj, or agdt, or any of the mags or organizations before them. giving yourself or your own dogs a title is absurd. if you were a ukc champion or an sdj champion it meant someone outside you and your friends recognized the accomplishment. its not the be all end all, and there were many "champions" back in the day that were shit dogs. for the record poncho was never a rom dog, and i don't remember more than one or two dogs jack bred that were recognized champions. none were on the grand champion list. today if you look them up they are all multiple winners and rom dogs. I'm not going to say anymore for fear of this post being deleted by the moderators who apparently have a problem with peoples opinions.

 

Jack is a dog man, he has been injailed by his dogs 75% of his life, he has always put them 1st. just becuse you dont care for him, his dogs love him.

No one is saying his dogs dont love him but the questioning the achievements of the dogs that came off his yard. And its been an age old thing that if he could disprove, he would have. But has never. That some people love the myths that come with some of the dogs is obvious and would rather believe the myth than facts presented. So if vice grip is someone's preference, nice, but dont expect people to just accept the hype put out to the public around his dogs because others want to believe the tall stories.

I would suggest going onto his site and asking the guy the questions you have for em......he aint exactly hard to find, and btw......the folks i know of using that stuff seem fairly successfull with it, reason you dont see a lot of them dogs hooked is because they run small..........kinda harder to hook a 28 than it is a 45......

you don't know what your talking about small dogs are where the core is . and I've seen his dogs . big dogs are not really liked as match dogs . the smaller the faster the better show .

 

i have owned vise grips snowwhite, i own vise grips p-cola, i own vise grips captain hook. these dogs do run small. great line, great dogs. these dogs lived up to there legacy, and i still run them today.
