Inner city, backyard, mountain chain set-up, etch..it's all the same. The difference is, do you look at them? with an open mind.

Thats the key IMO, taking the most renowned older dog from a line you can find and breeding it to the youngest proven specimin from the same line. Ive been doing it for years without fail.

The Apbt is not just a box dog if you feel this way why not ask yourself this why did dogmen ever allow these dogs to get in the hands of pet and show owners because they were sold as pets even when Colby was breeding years ago before showing these dogs even became an option. The first dogs to be registered with the AKC as Amstaffs were game dogs.If you are buying dogs from dog men breeding the dogs for their original traits and purpose why the hell does it matter if they are shown in conformation not everyone who gets a game bred bulldog wants to breed. People buy these dogs to use for other working legal avenues and the fact is they make great pets I would never own another breed but the one I own now one of the qualities that makes these dogs so appealing to pet owners is their undying loyalty to their owners it's undeniable how much loyalty this breed has to its family being raised around huskies, labs, retrievers, rotwillers, and Dalmatians I have never owned a breed so loving and loyal to their family than that of an APBT and I will never own anything else as far as I am concerned the APBT is the best breed on the planet and I hope the breed is around long enough so that my kids children can grow up with bulldogs. Their will always be men and woman accross the globe breeding game dogs and keeping them honest as long as that continues the APBT will always remain true to its purpose.

these ppl who think APBT should be bred for somting else shouldnt even own this breed and certinly shouldnt be breeding them ,
they want to just throw away hundreds of years of breeding . any one with an ounce of respect for this breed or the dogmen behind them wouldnt even think of somting as stupid as breeding for a differant purpose.

why go through the bother of breeding for somting else when they can save time and effort by going out and buyin what they will end up with anyways ...an amstaff

Because game bred bulldogs dont look muck like AmStaffs most of the time. Am Staffs are pretty though!

real dogmen dont sell to pet owers or to anyone, peddlers do and if you are very lucky and work dogs a real dogmen if you know him and have some kind of relationship with him will give you or free i the other day was given a dog for FREE that honestly i could not buy for love no money so in my opinion box dogs the ones that come box working parents with all the titels behind do not belong in the show ring what a waste of a real dogmans time and effort get his line to where it needs to be a only to be ponced around
by someone who only likes the idea of a real game dog.

Bullshit! Fucking Gr Ch Buck was sold as a pet so I guess Pat Patrick was a peddler there are plenty of Real dog men selling dogs as pets are you fucking kidding me?!?! If you truly believe that you are delusional. News flash 90% of performance bred dogs today are fucking pets lol. Plenty of well known respected dog men have sold their hounds to pet owners. I like it how people like to say oh these dogs shouldn't be shown in the show ring and probably have never worked a dog a day in its life. I am willing to bet money on it that most people complaining about performance bred dogs being in a conformation ring have just as much dust on those pretty papers as they do on their hounds from never doing shit with them just collecting dogs like it or not show people are out there promoting the game dog in a positive light they are trying to do something positive with their hounds it doesn't make them any less deserving of owning the breed because they choose not to fight them. Let me ask you since you have so much harsh criticism for people showing bulldogs what the hell have you done for the breed? How many great Dogs have you produced that your name should even be worth mentioning amongst other dog men? See if you are so upset with where these dogs have ended up you need to take that up with the dog men who allowed these dogs to go into the general publics hands because if it wasn't for those men and woman of the past none of us would own these dogs.

No one "needs" to do anything with their dogs, but if they want to show a dog, then so be it. It may be an ego thing and it may just be because they want to show a dog at a conformation show. Their dog, their prerogative.

Whats your definition of "real dogmen"? Most doggers sell pups for one reason or another, and sadly most of the time to who ever has the money to buy. Now, they may do some breedings where they try and place pups in the right hands, but thats a different story.

I said that 3 pages back performance bred dogs should be bred for their original purpose but if people want to show those dogs who the fuck cares it's not fucking up the breed to take a game dog to a conformation show. I have said it time and time again in this thread as long as they are bred for their original traits and purpose who gives a fuck if they are shown ... I am glad we can all agree with that because bulldogs don't know the difference between a pretty show dog and an ugly one lol.
