The pens are 6'x10' 4' tall. I used goat panels, cause the holed are only 2"x2". I used 4x4's for the corners. I framed each side separately. So if need be they can be moved. I don't know how to post pics or I would. I'll get cynthia to post some. If you want the pen for pups. You'll have to get horse panels, they have 2"x4" holes. If you have any questions pm me.

very nice and most importantly affordable lol. thanks crimson and cynthia, i have to build one within the next month or two. ill probably get the materials soon. im going to think on what i want to do. i may try to borrow a welder and weld the kennel together myself. if i cant im defiantly going to build one like this. thanks for sharing.

I think the next ones I build. I'll use a welder and angle iron also. If you used angle iron and powder coated them they would last forever.

Thanks everyone I appreciate it. I don't have plans drawn. I put them together in my head lmao. I was kinda tight on money. But if you got the money and the room. You can build one 16'x16'. 6' tall for about $500.

  8. Yea I wouldn't def. build them 6ft high you gotta be a midget to clean them ones crimson's got lol!!! There well built though

lol i didnt think about that at all. maybe because im only 5 "6" a little on the short side lol. 4ft is good enough though for a dog if you think about it, its not like there's going to be kangaroos in there. 16x16x6 would be awesome but a little to big for my liking and for the size of the yard. i wouldnt mind 10x10x6 and at best 12x12x6, but my problem is finding them horse panels that are that height. i looked at TSC's website and they say them pannels are only in texas stores. im going to have to do some searching around were i live to find some. im sure it wont be hard if i hit some country places up. im going to be a bit busy with that. a home built kennel is bad ass. them store bought welded wire kennels are priced ridiculously and i bet only cost like $40 to build a whole 10x10x6 for the manufacturer and then they sell it for 400+. im going to have to do something like this and the angle iron isnt too bad of an idea either. it might even be easier than trying to build a replica of a store bought welded wire kennel. hopefully mine comes out as nice as yours which ever route i go.

just thinking about it since javier mentioned it, i could possibly use just the 4ft goat panels and build it on a wood base that lifts it up a good foot and a half with gaps in the wood floor to let the crap fall through. that would solve that problem with having to go into the kennel to clean it out. i'll throw some pics up here too when i get through with it all. theres alot of ideas that i have now on how to construct this hopefully it runs smothly with no problems.

Including the plywood top probably about $300. I got 2 more the same size I started on. When I'm done with those, the next one will be 16'x16' 6' tall. A dog doesn't need a 6' tall kennel. The height is mainly for human convience. Cleaning the ones I have now isn't bad at all. Just get an extra long rake handle. Only time you really have to bend down is when your stuffing the house or cleaning the water bowl. But the 16x16 is to big so I'll be making that one 6' like I said.

Those are real nice! Some of my dogs a really destructive so not sure how they would holdn up over time but for the price it might be worth a shot. I'm way to tall for the 4' tall one tho lol

In the pics you'll see the angled supports in the corners. I put em in every corner. Their really not needed but I figured the dogs would eventually chew on the wood. So I added those, so that they'd honestly be easier for the dogs to chew on. So far it's working. Cynthia keeps her dog hillbilly in that one and the only wood he's chewed on is the pieces I added for him to chew on. I realize I'm just getting lucky with it buy it makes me feel better lol. Also the reason I built the pens is cause my yard doesn't have much shade. So their only in the pens for 9-10 hours a day. The rest of the time their on chains.
