Any info on the "Loposay Strain"?

I have a guy asking me do I know any info about the loposay stuff I told him I didnt. He has a nice looking dog and he says it was off the strain of loposay stuff. I tried typing in loposay in the search but didnt turn up anything. If I could get a lil info from ones who knows more than me it would help me and I could help him learn a little more about his dog. Thanks.

The Cajun hitman dog that was a good dog. Look into your Ped or any Ped and youll see it off of Eli. Depends on the dogs your friend speaking of. Post a Ped or a few names. Maybe someone here had eyes or hands on one.

How close are the Loposay dogs in his dogs pedigree? I dont suspect it is in the first 4 generations. Finleys Bo (ch. Jeeps sire) was bred by Loposay, just to give you an idea.

Correct me if i'm wrong but i thought that the family still bred and sold dogs. Sort've like eventhough Lou have passed the family still breeds dogs.

It looks like patsy has bred some in the last few years. searched it here on this site. I was pretty sure J.R. passed a while ago.

She was selling some and some got stolen from her she also ran into trouble from the people... I know of 2 people that got a few down from some of her breedings really solid hounds.. Not stylish but strong and pack punch..

Well ill have to look at the peds. If he have some im quite sure they are handwritten but I doubt it his dog came from an oldtimer that I use to deal with before he passed and I think most of the dogs were given away without peds. I neva were interested in the dog like rock n rye said they packed punch but werent stylish so I neva wasted the oldtimer time asking bout any of those particular dogs.

Do anybody know of loposay spitting out any solid white or any cow colored, multi-colored dogs? He say he is pose to be crossed with some redboy/bolio I mean he is rednosed but I dont see the rb/b in him lol as we have a heavy redboy/bolio male ourself that is producing pretty good

I'm looking for anyone that may have line bred down from the Red Ed dog myself. If anyone out there knows of anything out there, please let me know. I'm trying to carry on the red ed dogs my grandfather (W. A. Ferguson Sr) bred over the years. I have only a few left and would appreciate any information or contacts.

J.R. Loposay passed away while Patsy Loposay was in her late teens just a few months after he and Patsy had to retrived "Loposay's Buster" from John Shiver's widow. Mrs. Shiver tried to steal Buster just like her deceased husband had before his death. J.R. Loposay purchase Buster from Maurice Carver. John Shiver worked for an airline company and had full unabridged access to free shipping. In exchange for shipping Buster from Texas where Maurice Carver lived to Florida where John Shiver lived. J.R. Loposay agreed to let John Shiver breed Buster to a few select number of bitches on his yard and his yard only. John Shiver bred Buster to more bitches than he agreed to and also to other bitches not on his yard. After John Shiver's died and those pups were whelped, Mrs. Shiver took it upon herself to register Buster with the ADBA in her deceased husbands name and not only sold those pups but also hung papers on other pups as well claiming those pups too were sired by Buster. When J.R. Loposay finally reached Mrs. Shiver and confirmed that John Shiver was truly deceased, he asked her when he could come pick up his dog. I have been asked not to divulge the whole story however, a heated argument ensued by phone and Mrs. Shiver more or less told J.R. Loposay he'd get Buster over her dead body. J.R. Loposay immediately drove to Florida with his then teenage daughter Patsy in tow and retrived Buster from John Shiver's widow the very next day. "FYI", what you have just read isn't "he said, she said", I have personally read written correspondence's between The Loposay's and Shiver's and have heard it first hand from Patsy herself,... after all she took Buster off the chain on the Shiver's yard and put him in her fathers car! J.R. Loposay only actually only did one breeding before his death with Buster (J.R. Loposay died a few months after getting Buster back) and although Patsy's mother is credited with the first few years of Buster's breedings after J.R. Loposay died, Patsy actually did all of the Loposay dog breedings, including Buster's. Unfortunately, due to her health, Patsy no longer has any dogs whatsoever. I have the very last dog that Patsy Loposay ever bred and owned, TURNER & LOPOSAY'S REPO along with other pure Loposay dog's including the infamous "TURNER & LOPOSAY'S CH. MOLLY", and a very good friend of mine owns REPO'S sire, "LOPOSAY'S RICO SAUVE".
