If there is nerve damage I could'nt disagree with you more. Not to associate a human to a bulldog.... but how do your teeth feel even with something as minor as worn down enamel? For instance when you drink something hot, cold, or sweet? Its certainly not comfortable and I highly doubt even a bulldog is exempt from something such as this.

Now dont argue because I'm not saying it will make a hard biter into one who could'nt gum through a wet paper bag. Though, it certainly wont add to their mouth being at the best it could be......

Hah, So please sit here and tell me a dog with gum disease is going to suddenly bite harder? Yeah they are bulldogs and I'm sure you would'nt notice much.... but please tell me it will make them bite harder.....

NOwhere on my post on the branding thread did I say I knew or didn't know who does or does not brand their dogs. I simply stated that I was considering doing that myself, and was interested in other folks' insight on it. Good Grief.

not if they could bite hard already . cutters are used more to hold in place . and they do cut but it's not the end if they loose them .

Depends on how the tooth is broke. A Jagged cutter will tear shit up. But if it's flat snapped, not so much.

You can't really change much as far as his ability to crunch, but you can train a dog to keep crunchin, every bulldog can bite hard, but they don't all know when they're supposed to.

there have been dogs who won with flattened off ruined hardware....gr. ch. rufus is one....but it would be true that if the teeth were broken off in the jaw or an infection or a soreness in the mouth could lead to a dog not biting as hard before or after..."heard" of one that could flat shut it down thru his first two but took some bad holes in the muzzle....came back a little soon and did not have what he had in the first two.....he healed over time and the fourth he was back to his old self....so a painful sore mouth can be a detraction....that is a no brainer...US1

Yeah, but an abscess is kinda hard to miss. Whole side of their head will be swollen up. Smells like death...
