Our dog is not papered, and i dont try to pass him along as anything but a good looking mutt(in my opinion). We would love to go to shows and meet other dogs and owners but im not sure if its acceptable to bring an un-registered dog to these events. Can anyone tell me if this is possible?

There are fun shows hosted by some clubs where paperwork is not necessary.

Unregistered dogs are not allowed in sanctioned events. However they are warmly welcomed at fun shows.

  4. Unregistered dogs can compete in the fun classes at almost all dog shows. There are sometimes many fun classes, other clubs only have a couple. You can show it in judges choice or any other fun class such as best blue, best black, best brindle, best conditioned so on and so on. They cannot compete in the sanctioned part of the show.

Go, take your dog, and have fun. You'll get to see many good dogs and meet lots of nice folks.

check out AADR also im new to the showing seen myself. i went to a local one and just checked it out and now i have showed my dogs in three local shows. its fun and postive for myself and the breed, it keeps me out of trouble working these dogs also. I recomend looking up any shows in your area and going to it even if your not showing in it. see what you can do, talk to people there and if anything get yourself a dog with papers in the future and put him in ....good luck
