yes he did in sa but no scar kidz went over the world like ELmo so then sampson is right he cant be called best in the world .Proven producers worldwide are frisco rom Mayday rom El negro rom these dogs had offspring worldwide that gave them rom points scar was rom only in sa .Best son of Frisco is only opinion

  2. IN THIS POST - Scar is the Best represented with regard to info, I confrim that his STATS according to the Pedigree Database are true, so He is the BEST son off Frisco as represented in this POST.

If you feeol like chaning that FACT, share some Info on the dogs, YES I am fishing for info, that is whey we join boards like these DID YOU FORGET what your purpose on this Forum is, it is to gain and share knowledge on the breed, I will not contact any owner for any info, you feel the need to name a dog, back him up with stats or shut up, we know the old "who knows, knows" and "need info contact owner", just proves you know just as little as me, at least I have the balls to ASK, and not act like I know it all.

Bolo - If you have tracked TG website for years, you would find alot of studs were gonna be the next frisco, it's called SALES PITCH, why would any man talk down on his own dog, especialy one at Stud, poin to ponder.

Okay, I have set back and read what is written. I think it is time I contributed. Personally, I feel dogs imported as puppies with true pedigrees should be more or less on par with their siblings. That is if the breeder was breeding towards a standard. Two reasons I would say why a dog is nothing like the siblings is, 1. He/she was never given the same opportunities as the littermates and 2. His/her pedigree is not what it says it is.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>
No two dogs should be bred together if they are not representative of their line. And if they are, then their offspring should be very close to if not exactly what is expected. From the stories that are available on Frisco, one thing is always the same. Frisco had great biting ability. He was double bred on a dog that had great biting ability. This dog is down from a line known for great biting ability. So for one, all Frisco dogs should have the ability to bite. <o:p></o:p>
In general, I would say a dog who's pedigree is true and he is down from Frisco, should be able to win more often then a game dog, but a game dog is truly illusive and there fore should be cherished if found. The biggest problem in SA is that this line down from Scar used to be a closed book for a long time. Recently that book is opened more and more, but we must always remember that history is exactly that, his - story. To try and argue who the best is or was will bare no fruits. The best can have so many different interpretation so at the end it should be down to what you rate as best and those you should run and prove the best amongst his peers and then if you want to claim best in the world, then he has to be proven in the world where you would like to claim a title for him.<o:p></o:p>
    <o:p> </o:p>

One thing is for sure, the Scar dogs has created a legacy that will take a long time to be over shadowed. Whether he is the best son of Frisco or not. There is one thing that is also true about Frisco dogs. Most people outside of the US is not very happy with the gameness of Frisco dogs on the whole. Maybe just maybe they are true reflection of their pedigree and Frisco dogs are just that, hard biting curs. For years the US has concentrated on breeding line and breeding for gameness above all. So maybe they selected only the game ones for themselves and exported all the others. I have said it previously and I will say it again. Maybe the biting power with leck of gameness is a true reflection of the Frisco line and they are exactly what they should be. Maybe we have lost track of the real maverick a pitbull should be and because of high stakes concentrate more on a dogs winning ability. I have even heard of rules being changed to ensure a win whereas in the past the rules was set up to establish the gamest of the two and not the winner. I guess the sport is combat and in combat there has to be a winner and a looser, but I will never feed a Frisco dog even if he come with DNA test and straight from TG's yard. To many direct imports has fallen when they got what they dished.

  8. kelbone, my friend, as always I cherrish your insight.

But really, my question is clear cut, who is the best son of Frisco.

I do agree with what is said, and maybe we should explore this more, in a post called " My favorate Bloodline and their Traits" that's a nice one hey.

Zoltan- alot in this world is based on hear say, it all depends on who you heard it from, a mans word is his honor............ a quick example....would you believe your own father, about the story on how he met your mother ??, really only you can answer that question... but will say this about myself, I will not come on to a public forum and state Shyte, unless i am asking a question, a silly one !

Ok well the major problem we have here is it is illegal for people in the U.S to match dogs. So for us to list stats would be completely and utterly retarted. But if you want stats i'll say this. Dynomite ,Bolo,Hickory, Elmo ,Simba, Rebel Yell, Ninja, Traveller, Ruff Rider and so on are all dogs off Frisco who have pups exported out of the U.S and still win. Maybe not on Peds online cause we dont all rely on the internet for info, but there out there. See WE go out and ASK people about THEIR dogs because who could know better then THEM. And no I dont think just because Scar was exported to SA that he is any less of a dog then his half brothers, but I do KNOW that he hasnt proved he's on their level. Not because he didnt go into the best in SA cause I believe what yall have said but the best in SA is hardly the best in the world. And im not saying that the US is the best in the world either (even though I believe it to be true). The best in the world has to be proven as such. Meaning get out of your country and prove it since your the one with something to prove. You think Scar is the best producing son of Frisco? Send somebody you know in the US or Mex a pup off Scar and get them to find out how he stacks up to the Frisco they run. And I dont blame you at all for fishing for info that is what this sites for but you cant believe everything you read on the internet. Theres alot of jealous hateful people who will discredit a dog on here for little to no reason. And imo the thing that most tells me that what yall have might not be on our level is that fact that yall all think Frisco dogs are rough curs. Or are more known for mouth then gameness. Thats why I posted this as my pick http://www.apbt.online-pedigrees.com/public/printPedigree.php?dog_id=78985
He's throwing the same kind of killers as the rest (better then most imo) but he's throwing gamedogs. Ill take the old stud I have off Traveller over any dog Frisco ever sired.

ELMO was sent to a person as a gift. He arrived up here as a 15 month old never touched dog. He won into very good comp up this way said partners hands in 37 minutes. He never got BIS either, should have yes, but it was given to the person that hosted the shows that night, even though the dog he showed Skinner had gone into a dog named Disco that was a piece of crap. Elmo had stopped the Disco dog in 17 minutes off the chain pushing over 5 pounds before Disco ever met Skinner. Skinner beat the Disco dog at their actual true weights but it took him just over 20. Skinner was a foul fighter, nothing more. He later went on to go into the Blackjack dog that Shaw had, and it was an easy spot for Shaw to pick. The Skinner dog only got BIS the night Elmo was shown because the show was put on by Skinners owner, and because most knew that he was looking to go into Blackjack next. Many said to the handler of Elmo that he deserved BIS, so did many others, but that's life. Elmo could have easily have been championed out, but some personal issues at that time between myself and a partner got in the way of that happening. It was unfortunate, but those things happen. We both look back at that time now with some regrets, but the partnership and friendship has been able to be salvaged as a result. Elmo was eventually sent back to Tom as a proven stud dog, and Tom replaced him with his belly brother who lived with me for about 3 years and was bred 3 times during that time. He's now down on my partners yard where he will see more breeding in the years to come. He appears at this time to throw more mouth into his offspring then Elmo did. Although we believe that Elmo's brother appears to throw more mouth into his offspring, we are also aware that Elmo was the far more talented dog of the two. Elmo didn't win that night as a result of mouth. He won by pure talent. He never had the opportunity to show his mouth, as his opponenet never stuck there long enough. There was only one scratch by the other dog before he packed it in, and had a handle not been able to be had on the other dog, he would have quit much sooner. Many said it would take one hell of a dog just to stick with Elmo. What Tom has back on his yard is a 1 in 100 dog. He throws talent into his offspring plain and simple. He's proven to produce with cold dogs, and dogs that are less than average, so I'm quite sure for those who want exceptional dogs, they will have no problems finding many winners in the years to come that are off of Elmo bred to bitches off of Tom's yard

. Elmo has also thrown the longest Frisco bred show dog to date. The Minnie Mo dog that recently went 3:08, but due to a handling choice that we agree now was in error it could have gone longer (closer to 3 1/2 to 4 hrs.). Both Mo and his opponent where tremendous specimens in exceptional dogmens hands.

    Rebel Yell

A while back I was asked by a friend to write a story about Rebel Yell. I originally declined due to my lack of interest in what the game has become, but the more I thought about it the more I realized this ‘little bulldog’ with a big heart needed to be recognized as the great animal that he was. I will not however quote times, places or opponents but instead give you insight into the events that entitled ‘Rebel’ to be known as Ch. Rebel.

The first time I laid eyes on Rebel he was around 1 ½ years old and was definitely in ‘piss poor’ shape. He had been raised by a couple of young fanciers who did not provide him with the high quality nutrition that dogs of this very high strung nature require. His muscle tone was non-existent, but he did display a strong, heavy skeletal frame, which with proper veterinary care and good nutrition soon began to fill out, making an extremely strong athlete.

Another problem with Rebel was when excited he would destroy whatever he could including his house, bowls, roots or anything else he could reach. Over time, this had caused all of his canines to be worn severely, but this too could have been somewhat corrected if he were to work out.

Rebel had already had quite a bit of schooling, so once healthy he was worked down to his correct weight and hooked for #1. Rebel first outing was against a heavily favored 2xw that was described as a ‘Bone breaker’. This event was definitely a one sided affair with the opponent picking the location, judge, corners and everything else you can imagine. It always seems that the ones who brag about how bad their dog is are the same ones who try to stack all the odds on there side in an effort to affect the outcome of the show. I soon put my fairness issues behind me because to be honest Rebel looked terrible. I couldn’t tell if he was starting slow or if his opponent was just that good! Of course, this provoked the ‘other side’ to really start talking junk. All we could do was just keep our mouths shut and pray that Rebel would come around. At about 20mins our prayers were answered when Rebel clamped down and shattered the right front leg of the ‘Bones breaker’. We were finally able to defend honour of the Rebel with what can only be descried as ‘mega shit talking’, I usually frown upon this but sometimes you got to do what you got to do besides they deserved it! Rebel continued to pick up speed and within a few minutes he was working a down hog that quit around 40 mins. Even though their hog stood the line they still had the nerve to call Rebel a ‘cur’. At this point I started scratching Rebel into their cur until they asked me to pick him up and go home. What a bunch of assholes.

#2 was into a 1xw and again Rebel was the underdog. I had realized in the 1st outing that his pre-contest meals were to blame for his slow starts so this time they were totally omitted. The change made for a much faster start and a lot less abuse taken by Rebel. This one was over in less than 1 hour and again the opposing handler called Rebel a cur and again I continued to scratch Rebel (I believe 4 times) until I was nicely asked to stop and take him home.

Rebel was building quite a reputation and hooking him for his championship was becoming difficult. Finally, another well know 2xw steeped up and it was on. This hog was very good, hard mouthed and game but Rebel was better. They decided to pick their dog up somewhere around the hour mark making Rebel a Champion. These guys were true sportsman who not only loved the game but respected their dog.

#4 was in the heat of summer also into top notch competition. Both animals ran hot but Ch. Rebel was top dog from start to finish winning in less than one hour.

After this Rebel was given some well deserved time off which proved to be good for his overall physical well being but bad for his already worn, flat teeth. A I said earlier he was terrible about chewing on things and by now his canines were worn to ¼ blunts. We had done about all we could with them and had almost retired him but with a competitive dog in your possession it’s not hard to talk yourself into going for the exclusive title of Grand Champion

So on to #5, again into only the best competition. Rebel came in great shape, super focused and right on weight. Everything seemed perfect, but upon release it became obvious that things were far from perfect. Rebel started much like he did in his first show but even worse. He would hardly take hold! He would wrestle but not really get aggressive. Most of the spectators thought he looked good but I know he was only at about 50% of his usual self. At around 15mins the referee recognized a turn on Rebel, which I happily agreed so I could get him in our corner in hopes of pumping him up. But it didn’t work. When released Rebel turned around and ran after the sponge that had been thrown behind him, picked it up, dropped it and then completed his scratch. This behaviour went on for his first 3 or 4 scratches. At around an hour he did start to stay in hold a little more but still he was not looking like he should or could. Im not taking anything aaway from his opponent, he was very fast and extremely smart but Rebel just didn’t seem to get into it. Rebel continued to scratch time after time as I knew he would, but the damage he was taking was beginning yo mount up. But as you know 5 wins aint easy so we continued to let him go until the 2hour mark when it was decided by his owner to pick him up. Of course, this loss was a major disappointment, but it did earn Rebel the reputation of a very game 4xw. I still knew something out of the ordinary was wrong and while lying in bed that night it hit me! I got up, called the gentleman who held the event and asked him three simple questions. First question, were bitches done in that area recently? His answer; ‘Yes that morning’. Second question, was one of them in heat? His answer ‘mine had just gone out of heat’. Third question, did you even change the sponges? His answer ‘no, I didn’t think about it’. I could have exploded, but what can you do? At least I know why he acted the way he did. I normally wouldn’t say this but I do think ebel would have won if this unfortunate incident had not occurred. I can say this because the opposing handler agreed and even asked why we picked Rebel up. The answer was easy; Rebel had done all he was asked to, all he needed to, and much, much more than most. Rebel was retired and successfully used as a stud until the time of his passing.

Funny thing is people say the samething about Dynomite. No need for a dog to show off when there not in trouble right? :37 is just a warm up imo. Dynomite did'nt show his true colors intill his 2nd outing and it's odvious because that was his longest show. I know Oldtimers who say Chinaman was'nt all that but when your gutting dogs in :17 & :18 when do you really have time to look flashy?
