Ireland. There not banned here but importing them would be a pain because dogs have to be put in quarintine for six months when they come from countries with rabies,
    loads of red tape...........

  6. Beautiful dog, please tell Lou to learn how to fit his collars correctly when working protection though. That prong at the bottom of the dog's neck might as well not even be there, it is useless sitting around his neck all loose like a normal flat collar. It belongs much much higher up and tighter - right on the jawline under the dog's ears. Just take it off if he isn't gonna fit it properly, its not doing any purpose being there like that.

Good luck! I want to see more videos of this pup as it matures.

? nope! from the U.S this is not the case. if the pup is under 3 mths of age rabies shot is not required but a certified vet must verify and document findings in health certificate. after 3 mths of age the dog must have rabies shot or quarantine happens...quarantine, they try to scare you with that word...all it means is that you must keep it quarantined in your home and you promise not to walk it outside for another 3 mths after it gets its rabies shot. I ship all over the world and have facilitated shipping from south america to EU...it is a pain in the arse but what we do is get the dog from say Brazil, send it to a US based vet, get all new shots, health certificate and documents from the US, wait a few days for the dog to recover from flight and then send as a US bred dog...This is very expensive but they dont even accept a dog from those countries unless the dog is over 6mths of age so this is the only way or just buy direct from US and avoid all that mess. foreign Customs are there to scare you but trust me when I tell you there are loop holes everywhere, just need to find them and get the customer what he/she wants/needs.

release, this dog has snapped many leads...I made him clip the latch to both collars..the pinch was not suppose to be "working" it was there as a back up... I didnt have scratch pants and that dog is pretty tough for a pup. I will def keep you posted as he matures, subscribe to my youtube page to receive automatic updates. laters.

How are your dogs with their family children?

Put it to you this way..I have a little rottieXGSD Katrina rescue and a shitking (shitzuXking charles spaniel, wife's dog, dont judge me),,,this is the only dog I trust with my kids...BTW the rottieXGSD is a certified Therapy dog that visits burn victim children at hospitals. Dont get it twisted that dog is trained in advance obedience but as far as never harming a hair on my children and accepting only death before their harm...My Fila is the only dog I have ever owned that can not only come close but exceeded my expectations as a family pet and protector...this is not just any Fila..this is the 210USA CAFIB expo temperament champion, confirmation champion and obviously the 2010 USA CAFIB Champion...while she is not the norm half of what she is would be considered superb in any breed. This breed in particular is the epitome of why Canines were domesticated in the first place...protection with out compromise. As far as protection goes a Fila Brasileiro isn't everything, It is the only thing. That being said 99% of people do not need nor could they handle an animal like this....the same can be said about a good bulldog (not the protection part) but in their profession they are second to none.

  13. Ah, learn something new every day. I didn't know that was what the CAFIB did.

I agree that finding the kind of trainers/decoys that you speak of is very difficult. There's a reason I drive 6 hours each way to work with the club I do. LOL

Actually, that is not the case, maybe to other regular EU countries (mainland/continental) but for Ireland and UK (not with this breed) there is different rules as we have no rabies where as all Spain, France etc do.

yikes! those are hard ass...but found loop holes all over it...get the pup shipped to GB or other eu country,,,walk it over the border as if the pup traveled with you to gb and now coming back with you...while there get a eu journal or pet passport or get a pet passport from another dog that is already in ireland and use it for your newly acquired dog...viola! coming in by plane would be too hard so you would need to pick the dog up elsewhere and land border it. oh and send the microchip from your vet to the breeder and have him/her implant that chip.

Yeah knew it was a pain importing dogs into Ireland, would find it hard to walk it over the border from other eu country though:).............
