Sled dogs eat raw fish year round and with proper worming they show no adverse effects, the parasites that effect fish are easily digestible by dogs,,, Do your research.

  2. It is not a bad idea.It is not written any where else that a dog can not eat a raw fish.So i will sat that it is fine if your dog goes with you and take eat some fish there. But fish must be a bone fish.Do you know what is bone fish ?

Just be careful with some boney fishes that have spiney fins, such as catfish. If u choose to feed whole raw fish, make sure to remove these spines before giving it to ur animal. Dunno if anyone has mentioned this yet or not

  5. yea he jumped up and bit the tail off it then i cut off the spines on the dorsal? fin and gave him the rest

I bought some frozen smelt for my dogs. Only two out of the lot would even touch them. Arez had to severe their little heads first and chew them all up before she'd actually eat them. lol The rest were HORRIFIED I was even suggesting they eat it. Stupid dogs. lol

also do not feed to much fat fish at one time, especially not with mackerel.

once gave one 3 of those. well i had to wash his pillow like 5 times on 90 degrees to get the smell of his puke out. lol

iv fed raw mackerel, haring and sammon, all whole raw fishes, nothing done with them except for freezing it. if ur dog is used to other raw food this is no problem. just be careful not to feed to much fat fish at once.

I get them some salmon heads every now and than. Just let them at it, they'll crush it and eat it.

it may sounds stupid but please dont laugh. I'm wondering if I could feed my dog a raw meat of rabbit? since I saw it on tv that the meat of rabbit has low in fat? is that a good idea or should I just drop it?

if your dog is used to raw that's no problem, many feed raw rabbit. even whole rabbits with coat and head. i rather fed carcasses with only rib and meat

Fish isnt BAD for dogs but its not the best thing either. Problem is, most people dont know that mercury levels depend on what kind of fish. for example, dude said he fed his dog tilapia, which has low mercury levels and high nutritional value. On the other hand you sir had a small mouth bass, HIGH mercury levels and low nutritional value. Good idea, just the wrong fish
