Sentimentality

Without naming names,dogs etc it appears to me that the love of the breed is casting shadows on the honest opinion of those who claim the staffordshire to be comparable to the APBT.
Some owners being very close to honest dogs from both breeds.
I can only assume that those owners are so infatuated with the staffordshire that they are not seeing what they should so clearly see.
This is not a knock at them owners or dogs,as their love of the breed is only good for the few that are left.
Has this been the reason for the newcomers who have come & gone in the past & will it be good advice for any future owners ?
Many non working owners are still living on past written down history which is so misleading & i cannot help but feel that working kennels are misleading in a similar type of way.
Yes,there is only one way of finding the truth on the dogs,but when it comes time to pick up that pup,you should ideally want to know the truth on what is behind it.

 

Thats ok if you are planning to work your dog & you have been put on to some pedelar by a freind of a freind or your in the know & know your stuff , but can see where your coming from when it comes to pedelars working kennels .

 

Thats a good idea you breed a litter for your own use and for a few close friends and decide to sell the last few as pets but tell a complete stranger the working history and true ped on the parents so they can peddle pups at a later date

 

Tell me NS,is your opinion based on past experience or set in stone by yourself ?
If this is how you & your friends go about things & only breed for yourselves,then sell any surplus pups to any fool with money,would there be any chance of this old fool buying one of them surplus pups from you ? Soon as my mum allows it,that is.
That way i can get a female from you & once i breed her,i can carry on with the peddling & bs to future owners/buyers. As you mention above "tell that complete stranger".
Something else which confuses me is them working kennels selling surplus pups as pets,yet believing the ones they keep back may possibly turn out good ones. After all,they say they only breed best to best. No morals as to what them dogs may turn out like once mature in them pet homes ?
Honest working history & true pedigree is something which very few working staffordshire's have today. Plenty of owners who have hoodwinked themselves into believing they have something worth feeding,as i am sure you most definately know.

 

i find they're so many fools out there wasting people's time. I breed and will always do when I want to get something for myself. I will give a pup or dog for free to whoever a please but i'm no sucker to be giving dogs away for free. I always place pups or dogs with one thing in mind, to use them in the future if they turn out that's why i place them to people I trust until they proof me otherwise.
i have so many bullshitters write me emails stating all the nice stories in the books, blah blah, once i give them a little background and ask for a phone number to talk more concrete about these dogs, never hear from them again. i say all this because not many people are ready for these staffords even if they are for free. now tell 'em what they want to hear and how many shit ch titles are behind their ped and they will gladly pay you 1500 to 2 grand for a pug, sorry i mean a stafford pup. this breed is in a ridiculous stage in the US

 

My only imply was to NS in that last post,so don't think my posts are directed at you & your dogs personally 12 gauge.
Just generally what i am seeing & knowing to be true.

 

i know Finito, we are on the same page. i'm just explaining what i do. the main thing about of it all its to be sincere and honest with ourselves about the dogs we breed and keep.
