Tattoo design ideas

For my friend's 16th birthday, she'd like to get a tattoo done on her foot.... and she asked ME to do the design. I'm pretty excited! I've already done two large pencil drawings for her of her dog, who passed away. She'd like something pretty, feminine, and cute to get on her foot in rememberance of her dog. She is thinking of just 'Lyra' (dogs name) in simple cursive, but I want to give her a lot of options. I want to do a couple different designs, some large, some small, some complex, some simple... just to show her some options.

Any ideas? I was thinking maybe something with her dog's profile, with a sweet quote about death under it... something cute and girly, something with some Hawaiian flowers and cursive letters. I know there's a few tattoo men on here... share your ideas! :cool:

 

I dont understand why folks have other people designt THEYRE work, when u get a tattoo that someone else designs it dont really mean shit!

Completely agree benthere. At 16 I got my chest and upper arms done. 1 of the biggest mistakes I ever made. To the OP tell ur friend to wait and think about it a bit. They have plenty of time no need to rush it.

 

I need a dog tattoo to finish my arm up.
I am at a loss for thought.
The last thing I want is to look like the typical AmStaff dude with dog tats. I was born into this breed and lived with these dogs my whole life. My arm has already different aspects of my life and what I am about. It's just missing something about dogs.

Admittingly, I am self conscious about public perception. Most heads that own the dual reg staffs or down bred staff (bully) are people that I would not associate myself with and more importantly be in association with just because of a common tattoo. Another thing I have going against me is my size. I am of decent musculature so when I am in public with my dog I feel that I already am falling into the publics typical pitbull owner mold.

So I need a tat for dogs busy would rather it not be a head or "gAme" etc

 

Oh stop it, tattoos dont hold you back unless you get rediculouse with em. As long as u keep it kool and get them in places that ca be covered up. Shit, im sleeved n it aint held me back at all. Most my tats were as a juvenile

lol yeah dont get a tattoo on your face like i did cuz it dont feel too good removing it with a dremel!!!!

 

I figured out what I want for my dog... Going to have a heart as in real heart which will act as body and coming off tehre will be a rear tail and leg and from top just a head angle... I know what I want but cannot draw good. So i will spend a few weeks playing around with the drawing and placement on my arm... It also has to flow and fit with what I have..

I will post pics here when it is finished.

 

As, she is 16 year old so, I don't think that she should have tattoo on her body at this age. She should wait till she is 18 and after that she can tattooed her body with any design.
