i know raw is the best thing going and everything like that... but alot of ppl like to say dogs come from wolves etc etc so they should only eat meat etc etc... but does anyone think our dogs our conditioned to kibbled meaning they've been fed it for so many generations that its almost as normal as meat in a sense to a dog... most captive kept animals arent fed their natural diet... they normally get something close and a supplement... even though after learning about it i've started giving my dog a raw diet a few times a week i wouldnt go completely raw.... anymore kibble fans?

yea and i feel like now if you get a good feed you would cover alot of gaps because the only thing that scares me from going fully raw is you're suppose to add 10% organs or some shits... i dont want to deprive the dog of anything they need nutrionally so i figure kibble is great

im feeding orijen regional red, costs me around 70 euro for 13,5 kg but my dog looks much better then when i feeded him 8 spieces of raw meat from great qaulity. i think its easyer to condtion on kibble, cause its so easy to adjust.

I had a real nice chart that broke down a complete raw diet for you by ounces but unfortunately the computer crashed and I no longer have it. If I find it again I will pm it to you.

nothing "scary" at all but who's to say 10% is the proper amt... too many variables (10-15%) you have to add oils and various other things to make up for what the kibble already has in it for the most part when your feeding raw... then you have to switch meats as far as chicken and beef and fish... multi-vitamins and all that... on a daily basis though... too much for me

thanks... and if you find it id love to take a look at it

If you are feeding Kibble to close gap for supplemental value then just have no clue on what you are doing. The raw gives all your necessary supplements and even if you are feeding kibble you should be adding oils and etc.. My pups are just as fat and shiny as any pup that was fed kibble..

If you are addressing me then the only reason why I do the kibble in the winter is because raw is fed outside and its no fun standing outside in bellow zero weather waiting for the dog to finish his meal. And I do supplement oils with kibble.

well i have a powder supplement that i use occassionaly away from that and giving him the raw diet every few days or so and im pleased with my results... i was always taught it was better to under do it than over do it... i just dont like the idea of having to add all that shit to my dogs food as far as when its a complete raw diet you need multi-vitamins, flax seed oil genkoba, gingseng every damn thing *laughing* so i'd rather be borderline under supplement than over...

  18. I can respect you not jumping into raw until you feel comfortable with your knowledge level on it. A lot of people do more harm than good by making assumptions with a raw diet and end up not giving the right amount of nutrients. I can respect not wanting to mess up a hound. :)

That being said once you have done the research and have a grasp on a proper diet raw is by far most beneficial. A good kibble is fine as well, it is just that feeding an animal what its digestive track and body are ideally meant to handle will always have the edge. It just has to do with plain old biological differences in a dogs body that make them designed to deal best with raw meat. It isn't like kibble will kill your dog, but raw when done right will always have the edge because it is what is most in line with the design of a dog's body and systems - and no I am not speaking about a wolf, I do directly mean our own dogs.

  19. Also supplements are NOT needed with all types of raw, for example the prey model diet when done right needs nothing except for the optional addition of fish oil for the benefits of the extra Omega 3, you can also feed raw fish as well.

That's why u add fruits and veggies...some don't like it but there is nothing wrong with it, it can't do anything but help...certain veggies do different things for the body u just have to kno but raw is the shit!...I've seen this with a dog of mines that was just lazy as hell!...all he did was just lay around like he was sick but just didn't have kno energy....I put that MF on raw and he runs he's chain from morning till night now!!...I like feeding raw but it is time consuming like a muthafukka!...if u have alot of dogs then I would advice to stick to a quality kibble
