I just received this female pup from a breeder from the US. The first thing I noticed is the paws. Take a look at the pictures, can this sort of thing be fixed or is it genetic?

Pretty pup man, and to answer your question, yes from what I have read on here. I have seen a couple threads with pups like this or worse. Search and I am sure the answers will come. Oh I believe on of the threads is called knuckled out or something like that. Good luck with her.

  3. Feed her good man, might help improve upon it. I have seen a thread somewhere on here I think where a guy had got a pup with the same type of issue...fed it real good, Taste of the Wild I think, and four months later good as new. Nutrition goes a long way, worth a shot!

seen it with above ground pens with wire bottoms...such as expanded metal with holes too large for puppy feet...the puppy compensates by leaning back to stand on his 'entire' foot rather than toes and pads....solid feeding and regular exercise and a lot of it will straighten out....but that is just a guess from a couple of pics from across the pind....see a vet....US1

this isnt knuckling out, its low on the pasterns. this can be from a lack of sun, or piss poor diet. im guessing that its got some major food issues, given the dog has some severe weep eye, get that dog on some better food. totw, wellness, blue, diamond etc.

I have her on Canidae right now, if it's because of lack of sunshine we have plenty of that in Belize. Also started giving her Cod Liver oil, hopefully she straighten out will keep you updated. When I picked her up at the airport I noticed the weepy eye thing, can it be because of a poor diet?

You can say that again, we have to depend on the honesty/good character of the breeder to send you a good one. Nothing like picking them up yourself.

also, try keeping her off of slick surfaces. grass, dirt, or carpet is best until she straightens out. good luck!

if the pup had it when you got her, give it time with the food and such, they may of had her on something she was allergic to and didnt set well. good luck!
