1975-1980 pictures of the late Joe Avila of San Diego, California with his U.K.C. registered Pit Bull (APBT) named Pork Chop. Pork Chop was open to fight any dog and defeated all of them. Pork Chop was 105-110 pounds chain weight, and 85 pounds Pit Weight. Pork Chop was a bone crusher who defeated 50, 60, and 90 pound Pit Bulls as well as other breeds including Akitas, Rottweilers, German Shepherds, Bull-Mastiffs etc..Most of his fights ended in 20-25 minutes with one going 45 minutes and his longest match ending in 1 hour and 15 minutes. Pork Chop never failed to scratch. 2 German Shepherd dogs attacked Pork Chop, Pork Chop Killed one and was killing the other dog when the owner of the dogs intervened to stop the fight. A match was in the making between Pork Chop and Larry McCaw's Sporting Dog Journal Grand Champion Ace Going Light Barney but the fight never happened.

He IS a DOUBLE GRAND CHAMPION...........10xw..........no losses............he brings the truth..........he has not been bettered on ten separate outings..........and folks talk of mayday. lol!

GAME is the worth of an animal and the BOX is where he "proves" it against them that "think" they are his equal.

it happens, the only 90+ lb pitbull i seen was a bully! but supposedly we had a bulldog in the 70's (obviously before i was born) that weighed in at 95lb chain weight.

i got the pedigree in the closet ill get the info and see if someone can post the link.

  17. I know VJ had an 85 lb male named Johnnie.

catchweight bulldogs have been around since folks started knockin heads........

but as most dogmen/gamblers dont set a match against their odds ie venue, weather, weight.........theres not much action in heavy/super heavy weight divisions.

middle weight clashes are were the action WAS and IS.......pound for pound.

But them cachweight killers are there but hunting them aint easy.

just like in most combative sports , heavier the weight = less action(boring). 1-2lbs difference is possible might be worth a gamble, but 8 lbs and up @ catchweight thats another story
