its in strattons 4th book i think, very odd way to work a dog but i suppose it worked for him.

 

its Frederick Maffei and the book is called red tina

there is certainly a copy of his keep, the one he worked ch princess on in strattons 4th book.

 

The point i was making was the surname, macfae sounds irish bred.

 

Maf wrote a few articles on feeding and conditioning methods of his in the mid 80's in SDJ.Food for thought.Some didn't agree with his methods but he at least put it forward for people to read and debate.Basically if I remember he would u use an easy method of working your dog like start off doing some kind of bite work then he would walk the dog or ride a bike with the dog then finish with some kind of bite work.The workout would take about 3 hours all together.This way you never over work the dog he would have say 10 to 12 training sessions in a 8 week keep.While the old method would be working your dog everyday with a day or two off in a week.Each dog is different.
