I'm not interested in buying any of them but on a dutch forum there was a small discussion about OFRN dogs. It seems like tons of people say they own one or promote their litters with it. True or just talking nonsence? Anyone got or can show some dogs that are still closely related to them? Im curious

Let those tons of people be happy with the dogs they own... Ofrn seems to be a trend nowadays just like blue pit bulls, bullys etc.
You can breed for color and appearance but the bulldog heart will disappear. So it will be a mutt in a pit bull coat...
Mr. Norrod has dogs out of the orfn strain...

BTW I.K. isn't releasing heavy OFRN blood from their old stock of Susie, Mitzie & Max or their heavy bred stock from their Hemphill line.
There is a lot of OFRN in the dogs of which they are breeding now,
which is available to the public down of Ch. Dutchess, Ch. Gambler, Ch. Red Dog & Ch. Hagler.

I have a female that is OFRN/Redboy. She is an amazing animal.

 

I'am not sure i understand,old family means they were bred in one human family the last old family dogs bred in the usa was by Colby and Lightner and Henry even they did not keep it pure. Just because a dog has a red nose does not mean it is old family. I had some red nose dogs strait from Bob Wallace's yard and they where not even close to pure. Red nose is just a color trait.And the old family dogs where not just red they had dark dogs too.Heinzl dogs produce a lot of red nose dogs and they are not old family.They may have crossed down from OF dogs but they are not pure.Wallace,Hemphill. Wilder tried to keep it pure but could not.A lot of the old Corvino blood came red nose but it was 10 generations of the O.F. dogs that were imported please don't hung up on color traits you will ruin a great breed.

I don't see where anybody said or implied that just because a dog has a red nose that it's OFRN. Maybe you should read the posts again.

Ok i went to that web site i see a lot of Mrs. Sarona stuff most of that started from Don Killens old Cid dog. Which makes my point Cid was a fair old dog but it was ruined i thought you were talkin game bred dogs( pardon me)

 

There is a lot of WORKING OFRN DOGS ALIVE. . SAYING ITS A FAD LIKE BLUE DOGS.,RIDICULOUSLY. Do some more reading.....

 

I didn't say there weren't any working red nose dogs the problem i have is callin them OLDFAMILY the old family dogs was polluted 50 years ago

 

Alot of breeders throw sarona in their line after they have imbred for so many generations so they out to the sarona that way they stay in the line and its not bringing in a complete out. This is the way most top breeders doit that's why you only see the dogs name in the pedigree one or two times and that's it. Because every buddy that breeds red dogs know that they get really nasty to people and eveything if they been imbred too long. Look at wilders peds.

 

Alot of OFRN breeders used Sarona in their lines because it was PEDDLED as much as the Hemphill/Wilder dogs. History has shown what Sarona has produced and those that PEDDLED the line. Top breeders who cared about winning didn't use Sarona dogs as history has shown.

The only reason why people who breed heavy OFRN dogs get nasty temperments on a consistent basis is a PEDDLER whose priority isn't to produce WINNING dogs! I know of many extremely tight bred HEMPHILL/OFRN dogs who don't exhibit the same problems that many of the PEDDLERS of the OFRN dogs get consistently!

 

Alright let me tell you whwt happens people who cull there litters get rid of the nasty temperment dogs this is just a fact people only want the best on their yard others get these dogs and start breeding them because they confuse there temperament for being game now a breed is suffering. Besides geronimo boy and a lot of both wilder and hemphills dogs were man biters so these guys must be puppy pedilers right? (do some research)
