Axles

1 question guys what an axle usually cost from the junkyard??

 

Pretty much the same as how long is a peice of string

But you can pick them up for f all.

 

I'd sugguest you go to a local tractor trailer repair shop and just ask them for the old broken ones that they

 

Find a business near you that is buying scrape metal. They will sell you axel for the weight.... bout $5 each

I pay between $5-$10 at the junkyard but I have heard of places who charge as much as $20 each :eek:

They may work out a discount for you, i bout 10 and they took some off the price.

 

Just checking I got about 20 at my work and we are always replacing axles .the scrap yard only gives us about $20 for around 200 lbs of metal..wanted to see if it was worth looking else where..thanks guys

 

my uncle has a high performance shop so he keep them for me if u were colse i will give u a few:dogdrink:

 

$20 is awful.I'd never pay more than scrap price for an axle.

 

I figure scrap price is about all you'd get out of them from anywhere.

 

I cant tell ya waht I pay lol ($5) but I sell them for $10 or 2 for $15 an that seems to be a good price because i cant keep them as soon as i get them they are already sold .

 

Buying them is the easy part I wouldn't pay more than $5 a piece for them all you gotta do is go r a junkyard and tell them you need them most of the time they will have them. Unless you live in my area me and the couple othe local dogmen cleaned out the junkyards. Anyone in my area needing some give me a holler.
