This is my boy marcus, he is a little over a year. I purchased him from someone with no papers and only had the momma on site. The mom looked to be anywhere from 50-60lbs. She said the father belongs to her grandmother now, but said he was around 70lbs. Last time i checked he was around 68lbs. Heres some pics any help would be great.

Yes i got him neutered at 6 months. He is pretty solid, but its cold up here in indy and i have upped his feeding a bit... plus mom gives him lots of treats while im at work.

LOL! That was a good decision to get him fixed!! THANK YOU! He's a good looking boy but without knowing of his origin that was a very good decision and I commend You for it! I hope this site is helpful in Your relationship with Your dog, And I hope You learn a lot here!:)

Lol thanks. Im only 20 and live at home, i never had any intention to breed its too expensive plus he is allergic to grass... so he is a costly pup. But thanks for the input. I love the little guy to death but I guess i still have to get myself a real APBT someday.

I have the Richard Stratton books, and i have been looking through the pictures and he riminds me a bit of Burton's Dillinger, and some of the dogs produced by Wallace's Bad Red.

Another reason he looks bloated is because of his prednisone for his allergies.

I'll get some more pictures up later. Im trying to get ahold of the young lady who bred him, as she said that he is 3rd generation something or other. I wish had been more careful when buying him.

Looks like an American Bulldog/Labrador to me, very handsome dog though! :D

By the way, I'm a Hoosier too... About 60 miles from Indy though.

LMAO i love how you all think he looks mixed with lab or some shit looks full blooded to me i have seen many a bulldog that didn't look half as good as this fella it really doesn't matter you own the dog and feed him so you must like him otherwise you wouldn't feed him besides who cares as long as you love the dog and hes a good dog

  14. Nice lookin dog! I've seen many a bulldog with that hound-dog look.Although, havent heard of many well bred gamedogs with an allergy to much of anything. If ya like him, keep him.If your lookin for a 100% pitbull that your sure of,do a little research and get a dog from a reputable breeder.Nice lookin dog though! FRIEND

Bump right there is your ANSWER

  16. Since you have no papers, have only SEEN the mother, haven't seen papers on the mother and father, and since you did not see the actual breeding - there is no way to know if your dog is pure or not.

In this situation the responsible thing to do as an APBT Fancier would be to fix the dog and call him a mutt to those who ask.

I am sure he will be a good friend to you and if you are looking for a real guarantee at getting a well bred APBT next time you are ready take some time to do your research and meet the right folks. There are plenty around with quality dogs who won't steer you wrong.

yea no doubt you can say he is full blooded to yourself to make your self feel better but tell everyone else hes a mutt :)

IMO def doesnt have a build like an apbt... and Agame noone is saying it matters what the dog is ... ppeople just stating opinions on what they thing the dog is

yes i know this popper the post didn't come out the way i intended you know how sometimes you thinking something but it just doesn't come out right or you kinda seem like an asshole when you type it well that was it LMAO but the dog looks like a fat am staff to me actually but that's my "opinion" but you know how they have those breed pics and they want you to find the pitbull in the bunch like this one http://www.pitbullsontheweb.com/petbull/findpit.html
hell if it is mixed it is damn hard to tell sometimes anyway but again it doesn't really matter as long as the OP doesn't go around saying they have an APBT

and P.S. that picture was too easy maybe i should have posted a better example of try to find the pitbull
