no way with that weight it can stil be 'called' and SBT.
Much to heavy, that's the weight of an Am staff :D.

I've got nothing to gain by lying, mate. This guy is from show lines and nobody was more surprised than me when he didn't stop growing. His dam was about 14" and his sire was maybe 16". I actually used to show him as a pup but by the time he was about 6-7 months old he was towering over the other pups in the ring and it was starting to look ridiculous so we stopped.

I've known those particular breeders for years and they've never had one like him before or since.

Weight wise, he's maybe 2-3lbs heavy for his frame and although he's very fit he's not fully conditioned.

oh i do believe you but what a big boy mate ;)
Thats why i said 'called' his head gives him away of beeing a sbt dog but i can keep saying it, a big big boy LOL

Biggest stafford I've ever seen. That thing is just huge.

@nobody. It's funny you mention him being amstaff size. We actually convinced some amstaff breeders that he was our newly imported amstaff as a joke once. They believed us until the cat was finally let out of the bag :D.

@nsdm. You should see him in person. I wasn't all that upset about stopping showing him. That world is something else... I'm happy with him as a pet.

LOL well I wouldn't be upset about not showing him either considering the fact that staffords were never meant to be show dogs. Your boy is big, but he is definitely functional. If I can ever find a working staff, I'd get the dog into catch work.

I think he'd enjoy that stuff but the limiting factor would be me. I wouldn't know what I was doing and might get him hurt.

The sport isn't that hard. Just get yourself a nice cut collar and cut vest, then you'll be good. People in australia love the staffs as catch dogs.

you get the odd dog that is huge, throwbacks to the original bulldog maybe, I have an english staff that should weigh in around 25+kg's................I had a pitbull that was 48kg, bloody huge, same thing all the other pups in the littler were small...........you never know, so long as they have the temperment.

agree with the post above. some years ago i kenew of a litter bred from a little kc type bitch to a son of milo and one of the pups turned out to be a huge dog of 21-22 inch and around the 65 lb mark.

Years back i put a grandson to Beanie.2 over a small KC'type' bitch...the litter was fairly even in size and colour...except for one pure white monster with one red ear...about 20inch...theres some big old lumps lurking around in that gene pool.
