Boudreaux Dogs

I've only been involved with the dogs in passing for a few years and when I heard about what happened to Floyd I was shocked, but didn't read up on it much. I know he was eventually found not guilty, but they had already murdered all of his dogs. I am assuming he got a nice check for all of that, but I am wondering about the quality of the bloodline today. I've always wanted a solid Boudreaux dog, but down here everybody "claims" they have Boudreaux dogs but most of them ain't worth a shit. I blame it on our proximity to the guy (at one point in time it was easy to go get one) and the subsequent bad breeding practices by people who may at one time or another had good dogs. What do you guy's think? After all that his happened to his yard, are there still some good tightly bred Boudreaux dogs out there?

I agree, there are plenty around. And don't buy into the nay-sayers. For whatever reason many folks in MS. down Boudreaux dogs & think Jeep/Redboy is the end all & be all (no offense). Why I don't know.

you shouldnt have a problem finding tight skull dogs but you will have a problem finding a good tight skull dog.

I think he means you will have no problem finding a tight bred Skull dog, but you MAY have a problem finding a tight bred Skull dog that is worth a flip.

:thumbsup: ^^^THIS^^^. when i was on my search for boudreaux/eli dogs i realized how badly peddled the skull blood is. and we all know what happens when volumes of product rise to meet high demand with out proper Q.C.

I agree 100% about the skull dogs. I've turned down at least 10 opportunities to buy one. At the same time I like the way they are bred. Looks real good on paper but it rarely translates into a good dog. Ya'll are probably right about them being overbred. Anything that produces a few good dogs is going to get that way.

 

Heard Miss Skull 2 dropped her second litter of Bobby. Seeing she has a strong Boudreaux influence what are your thoughts on her. Does anyone on the forum have one of her offspring?
