  1. Hello, I have been browsing this site for a while now, which I had found through a link from a hunting dog site and finally decided to register.

Interest in gaming dogs: I wasn't interested in the pitbull (APBT) at all previously as just like most of the general population, my impression of the dog was very negative, man killer, dog killer, favorite of the ghetto...(blame MTV).

But having done some research and surfing the forums, I realise that the APBT itself is not what the media has made it out to be. has a really fascinating history. In fact, its the history that really makes it addictive. The descriptions of the characters (both men and dog), the breeding, the obsession with bloodlines, the effort and thought behind breeding and matches... reminds me of a time past. I am a history buff :o

Weicome! I, personally love the APBT's history...I use it usually as a first step when educating others about the breed...I find most reasonable people are eager to educate themselves with just about anything from a historical perspective, and many are pleasantly surprised to hear how wonderful and interesting the breed truly is and how sound the breed has been, historically speaking.
