Hey, Im Jessica, new to the board, nice to meet everybody.I just got a new pitbull yesterday, and Im wondering if anyone can recognize any traits that may point towards a specific bloodline.I was told that she was Jeep/Redboy,of which I already have 2 Jeep/Redboy males, and she resembles them very much .Shes a light buckskin in color, white paws, yellow coppery eyes, deep red nose 25 lbs. at 3 months, nice sized little girl. She was unregistered, the girl said the parents were registered ADBA,but she got a cheaper price on her without the papers, and all she wanted was a pet and it didnt really matter to her.Im just curious to know what her bloodline is, I have 6 other pits and I know all their bloodlines lol, 2 Jeep/Redboy males,1 Eli male, Jeep/Redboy/Chinaman female,snooty/watchdog/razors edge/gotti female, and Jeep/Alligator female.Im gonna upload 2 pics but they are from a month ago, head has widened and chest widened right much since then,if anyone has any thoughts let me know, if ya think shes really Jeep/Redboy or not. Thanks sooo much.

Dogs that are completely unrelated can look very similar. Without an honest breeder and papers you can't tell how a dog is bred. People stick whatever name they want on dogs to sell them....

Everyone is right there is no way to tell if she is Jeep/Redboy or not. But to answer your question no I don't think she is Jeep/redboy because Ive heard your story so many times about people not having pedigrees to give you and saying that their dog is a certain bloodline. But it really should not matter matter what bloodline she is off of as long as she is a good dog.

yeah, can't guess by looks alone. but if your freind could get the name of the parents you may be able to get lucky by looking them up on peds-online or somethin. good luck with her, and welcome.

Thanks so much, appreciate the help. Doesnt really matter so far shes a sweetie, was just wonderin, didnt figure anybody would be able to tell just by looking, didnt hurt to try though, lol. Shes so sweet and calm, im not used to it.My Jeep/Redboy males are ROWDY, lol full of energy the oldest is 1 and a half, 72 lbs. and looooves to jump on me, oh yeah , reminds me of another question real quick. What is the best way to leash train an adult ?Harley the 1 and a half year old , I ve been working with him a lot but the problem Im having is him diving at the leash grabbing it, playin tug of war, and once he starts I just cant get him to let go, unless I drop the leash.Very energetic, and stubborn lol, but a big baby.Gotta put some pics up.But anyone have some advice on that one?I got him as an older pup he was about 8 months then and he just had never had discipline. He listens a lot better now, except for the leash part.Thanks.

It is always important to get the dog from a respectable breeder.

I just wanted her for a house dog, pet, so it doesnt really matter.I got her from a girl who had bought her from a breeder, but she lives with her parents and they wouldnt allow her to keep her.All the rest of my dogs came from my neighbor, who breeds pitbulls, has all the prebreeding testing done, profiling, all the good stuff.

Does your dog sit on comand? You might try making your dog sit when he grabs for the leash, remove the leash from his mouth, tell him no and start walking again.Just a suggestion, may take awhile, but if you remove the play aspect of it,he might stop.
