    a good friend of mine made several trips down to see floyd and bought many dogs from him. some were pups and some were adults. most were culls and the ones that had enough talent to make the grade came up short in the heart department.
    he also bought several dogs from white oak, those were costly and embarrassing.

    Igrew up on Boudreaux dogs and Boudreaux X's
    Theyre not a dog for these new punks who care about coat color
    They have anexcellent drive and determination.. But I agree that most people expect too much of this iconic bloodline too early. A pup is a pup. socialization is the same .. Unfortunately these kind of dogs arent produced in the ways of old and important early pup handling is overlooked. A human shy dog would hav been culled.
    These are great dogs. I've underestimated a few only to have egg on my face later when they stood up for me in a protection situation (runt gyp to boot !)
    This is as good a line as any. What matters is the source of the pup

    and to the person crying about the white oak's .. WOULD you sell your best dog to ANYONE ?? Hell no. I'm selling the rejects so I dont have to worry about them in the future LMAO

    many of the dogs I mentioned were adult, full grown, "ready to go" dogs.
    for the most part they were all culls even though they were sold for alot of $ as "good to go"
    in my experience the eli dogs are a low percentage line when bred tight.
    you'd better have a big yard if you want a few good ones.

    Benthere is right about the percentages from Eli stock. This was the main blood on my yard back in the day. We went through alot of dogs but when we got a good one, you were through! When we crossed the Eli with the Bolio or Baby Jones stock are %'s increased so much it was scary.

    I am in NELA as well and run Carver, but here lately we have been crossing out with some nice Bolio and I'm sorry but I just downright love a Beaudreaux/Carver dog. A Beaudreaux gives the soup just the right bite....they do have a rep for not much bottom, but a good cross is the bomb.

    Yea I have been looking for some good bolio dogs as a out and also going to try a few other lines to see what happens. But you must admit that regardless of how to cut it most of the great dogs have a boudreaux dog or two on the peds somewhere.
