I feed it like any other meat. Usually on days I feed organs or with the quarters...depends on the amount of meat. Nice hookup.

I wouldn't feed pork as much, lots more parasites compared to other types of meat. Pigs are nasty creatures, I wish I had that plug.

I dont know to much about this but dogs have a great immune system to cope with chicken, rotten meats and yes dog poo. Raw pork can have worms not always depending on how they were raised I heard you freeze for three weeks as with any other game meat just to be on the safe side. A dog will alway cope better with bacterias etc if on a good raw diet and not a cooked one.

The strays part, those dogs are usually heavily infested with worms...many can go years without showing signs.

The pork thing is true, they CAN be infested. Personally I never had a problem with it. I've frozen for as long as 3weeks and as short as 2days. Keep up on your deworming schedule.

If you want, you can feed the chicken while the pork sits in the freezer then feed after a few weeks or when the chicken is gone.

rubbish, maybe 50 years ago or in certain country's, but here in Australia a dog would be lucky to get some fresh pork, i have fed it daily aswell with no troubles at all, although i much prefer to feed chicken or lamb.

why can strays eat raw pork and anythingelse and walk around likes it's nothing?

What is the life expectancy of a stray? 3- 4 years at MOST!!

how many will pay to breed to a stray?........... stray eat whatever because they need to survive. our pets eat healthier cause people actually care about their weill being...or not............

You should not consume raw pork until you have frozen the meat for at least 48 hours. These are guidelines for humans given by the general surgeon. According to the general surgeon, after freezing for 24 hours, you kill the worms, and after 48 hours, you kill the cysts.

Pigs do not sweat, so they wallow in mud to cool their bodies. The mud also protects a pig from insect bites and from sunburn.
Because they roll in mud, pigs often look mucky and people think that they are dirty animals. But pigs are clean animals! They will have a place which they use as a toilet which is well away from the places where they eat or drink.

Another REPOST,
Is trichinellosis common in the United States?

Infection was once very common and usually caused by ingestion of undercooked pork. However, infection is now relatively rare. During 1997-2001, an average of 12 cases per year were reported. The number of cases has decreased because of legislation prohibiting the feeding of raw-meat garbage to hogs, commercial and home freezing of pork, and the public awareness of the danger of eating raw or undercooked pork products. Cases are less commonly associated with pork products and more often associated with eating raw or undercooked wild game meats.

most pork that you get here in the u.s is pretty safe its not riddled with worms like it was many years ago. where if you soaked it in coke you would see them come out of the meat. and if you get it from the store its been frozen before anyway i wouldnt lose sleep over it.

fresh pork is about as good as it gets

cooked on a clothes hanger
under a barrel of boiling water

the dogs will be ok on raw pork
those wild hogs are raw
and pose just as much danger to dogs as raw pork chops

as far as parasites go
