I am a sucker!

Ok well Wed morning I went to work and as soon as I got there I was told about this stray that was brought in. Since they all know I own APBTs.

Seems this little guy was running towards the Hwy and a person brought him in to us (the closest Vet Hospital). He was not microchiped. They were going to hold him ofr 24 hours and then call AC. Well I could not have him going there. They do not adopt out "pit bulls". He would have been held for 10 days and then Euth'd.

So I decided to take him home and keep him here for 10 days to give the owner the chance to find him. We have a sign on out billboard at work. We notified AC that we have him. I posted a listing on craigslist. He is someones pet he is on good body condition.

He is the sweetest dog EVER! I am falling for him.

he defis a cute dog... are you gonna keep him if the owners dont show up? How many dogs you have cynthia?

 

We have 14 that are ours. 2 that we are keeping for friends. And now him. So that makes 17. And an evil ass cat! LOL

I can not keep him permanently. But I can hold on to him for awhile till I try and find him a home if the owners do not claim him. I just could not see him going to AC. I have been in Vet Med 7 1/2 years. I should be over the sucker stage. But he grabbed me. LOL

Well I'll take him if you all don't spay or neuter him which ever one is for the male.

 

With a post like this the last thing you need to worry about is owning a dog or any pet for that matter.

 

that means Neuter him! and plz do a back round check on who you give him to. Make sure they have common sense

 

I appreciate the advice. I am not new to this. Believe me he will find the right home not the first one. He will be neutered (for free) at my job.

you dont want to find out who the owners are before you fix the dog? theres a chance it could be a part of someones yard

 

Their loss, they shouldn't have given the dog a chance to get loose in the first place!

Did you not read where I said I am holding him for 10 days before anything. That is the legal time limit the owners have to claim him.

Ok I got a call from work today (I was off) and they located his owner. I am glad that I took him home with me because his 10 days was up on Sat. So he was 4 days past his date which means he would have ben euth'd. They do not adopt out "pit bulls" here.

I will miss him he is a great little dog. But I am happy that he is going home. I know how I would fell if one of mine was lost.
